So many times we do our best to save the drowning other but then you realize that no one is going to save you as you do your best effort to save HER...
There are some things that people can't share with others. So it isn't about you. Very few people can see your pain or the hidden tears behind your smile or hear your silent scream that you going through a real bad time and remain close to you silently support and show caring concern very few people are like this a total stranger most of the time would be there for you than the ones who claim that they are close to you are the ones further away from you. When someone is trapped mentally emotionally or physically in situation especially a helpless situation It even torture them when asleep would be afraid to sleep or get up crying So if they decide to isolate themselves only they alone know what they are going through. If you can't relate sad but hope that one dreadful day you don't face a reality situation and be abandoned by others who refuse to be there for you.
been there many times there were times when I broke down fell to my knees feeling so horrible couldn't hold back my tears publicly and those people never left me alone yes strangers.
Another person he just abandoned me said he doesn't know how to cope and would walk away hurt and cry silently in the dark for me not to see. A stranger barely a friend.
You could lie down next to someone and cry silently your heartache with frustration and they would be clueless what you maybe going through.

I relate so much to this with my ex.
We really really were into each other, could talk about everything and anything for hours on end without running out of random topics, great chemistry and love life...
But she was so hurt from past relationships, i swear she broke up with me every two weeks only for us to get back together a few days later.

I am the opposite, I am the girl... I was trying to hide the pain from my partner, so it wouldn´t hurt him, as much as it hurt me. But at the end, it was killing me to say "I am OK", when the pain of my past stuck in my head. It was hurting him to see that I am not OK, and dont talk with him about it. But there was nothing to talk about, I was stuck in that dam ´scare´ of my past, and he couldn´t have done anything to take the pain away from me...
He knew from the start, that I had a dam bad scare from the past in my heart, but we tried it, especially me. The scare realy hurt me from the start of our relationship, it got a little bit better, but as the day came that we would finally met, it was getting worse, worser than worse... because my ´scare´ is phisical and mental at the same time.
So how should someone come near me when I am afraid of touch?!...
I was torn the whole time, I wanted this touch, but at the same time, my body wanted to run away as fast as I could, I wanted away from there. Nothing seemd right... his nearness hurt me and when he wasn´t there hurt it too. I wished the pain would go away,... I knew the only way out of the pain, would be the way out of the relationship, "but I came so far, I wouldn´t give up!"... that was, what I thought, but it turned out differently, not especially because of me, but because of a bigger pain, which killed our realitionship at the end.
long story short:
You surely wonder why I tell you all that Nove, but as I found that song, my eyes opened wide and filled with tears, because no matter what I would have done back then, both ways, to tell the other person or hide the pain from the partner, will only bring both of them in darkness and pain. There is no way out, I see no way, but I wish there where something, I am still searching for an solution.

In regards to my ex, i don't think it could have worked out at all, she was too hurt and locked up inside and i was way too in love with her to realise me being with her was only hurting her back then.
But we work in the same field and did run into eachother a month or so ago, she's got a boyfriend now and she seems really happy, not gonna lie, I'm really really happy for her but it also hurt a little, but I'm glad she's worked on herself and found the right person for her.

This song came out at the right time. My gf and I are currently in a difficult position. She’s a recovering addict and I support her with all my heart. But it’s hard to live my life currently. I work 2 jobs and a business to support us. We’ve been struggling for a minute now and I’d never want to hurt her. But I’m trying to live my life too.
Edit: we ended up parting ways. It was a different choice and honestly I feel like I failed her. But it’s probably the best choice for both of us. And I still wish her the best.
Edit. We got back together after I wrote this. But broke up again. I found out she cheated. Come January we reconnected and started dating again. Unfortunately I found out she cheated again. Can’t catch a break.

it’s the last lines for me, they’re how i found the song and will always stick out.
its true, i don’t want to hurt anymore. that’s how i became numb to everything.
i had no choice, because everything changed, and if i didn’t forcefully move on and deal with it i would not be where i am now.
i lost the only constant thing i had, after 2 and a half years i finally stopped relying on them for happiness. even though i never knew them personally, they always make me smile when i was down and yes, i got attached. so it was hard to let them go when they were over. i know they’re gone for good now and it will never be the same. so i had to let it go, and that’s how i found the song.
