Cayce the man was very different from the entity he channeled.

Yeah, that always confused me. There's the old man, the kid and a ghost, but no mother strangely enough, except for that virgin who got knocked up by god but she wasn't really a god, or was she? I still don't know what is the Holy Spirit . I have filing that title is misleading .

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of God, he dwells inside the body of the human and not everyone has the Holy Spirit because you are not born with the Holy Spirit, instead you receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guides you, those who receive the Holy Spirit are believers in Jesus Christ. There are different ways to receive the Holy Spirit, the most common way is to have someone who already has the Holy Spirit pray for you, they usually lay hands on you and this is for those who have faith in Jesus Christ. People who receive the Holy Spirit can get some Holy Spirit Gifts, such as healing, etc. this is all written in the Bible.
One who needs a whole bunch of quotes from book(s) is looking for his own power through them.
That's your perspective. My perspective is that Edgar Cayce read the bible every day and he loved the bible so much he wanted to share it with others.

For some, the Bible is the word of God itself, and for others, it is a book written by individuals with their own agendas, not always necessarily benevolent.
I don't think God can be put into words, but different views that different people have about God's intention concerning people can be put into words. That's why I'm skeptical of those who quote stories from "holy" books a lot.
I don't know much about Edgar Caycey, but I believe his goals were positive, at least according to what he understood as positive action in life. My perspective, of course.
Words in books can act as catalyst and re'minders' to and for us.
As each letter carries vibration and intent.
Books serve their purpose and our direct experience guides us.
How can we share our direct experiences with others without using words to deliver the intended information.
