- Time for us to test out the fairly new Nikon 24-120mm zoom lens! Let's see if this thing is any good for portrait photographers and get a look at the images it produces. This could be the lens to replace a few of your prime lenses if you're looking to lighten your load or even if you're getting into the zoom game. The lighting is better when that sun is on your back and it also makes your subject or your model to look better I would never focus her with shade on her front face having a light background
