Derek Hough Could 'Barely Watch' Celine Dion Doc After Wife Hayley's Seizure

- Derek Hough opens up about how hard it was to relive memories of wife Hayley Erbert's health scare while watching 'I Am: Celine Dion.' The 'Dancing With the Stars' judge shared a throwback video on Instagram of a time when he and Hayley met Celine before a concert. Derek writes in the caption that he could 'barely re-watch' the singer's Stiff Person Syndrome seizure captured in the doc, because it reminded him of the seizure his wife had just months ago, that left her hospitalized for weeks.

Its so scary to see how the body can just betray you like that and there is nothing you can do. Celine is such a warrior and hero. I think of her often and pray for her relief.
I remember a lot of Christians were saying that "stiff person syndrome" was caused by a spiritual aspect, meaning that she was "stiff necked" and refused to surrender to Jesus and basically be born again. In The Holy Bible God speaks about it in Exodus 32:9 (NKJV)"And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!" but God was speaking about His people (whom He chose out to be His and follow His ways and they did not, meaning "stiff neck" was stubborn..). I think it's important, as a Christian myself, to not be so quick to judge. Too many times, we can become superstitious and God never intended that for anyone. And if someone is sick, it is not a sign of God's judgement... there are many Christians (including myself) who have had cancer and been sick. Furthermore, illness, disease, cancer, death and ailments in the body; are just a part of the fall of humanity, meaning that they are not always spiritual. I think it's very sad to see Celine go through all of that, it is such a sad thing that we as humans are so easily made to suffer. I hope and pray that God can uphold Celine's health and that He may help her in all the ways that she needs.
Today, I woke up feeling very unwell, I have had a lot of trauma to my spine, neck, body and then during pregnancy, to my tailbone, my nerves.. and my bones are weak, appear to have osteoarthritis, I have nerve damage throughout my body and sometimes body parts just go numb, I almost died delivering my baby and I suffered from high blood pressure and pre-eclampsia. So, to say the least, everyday is a different day and you never know how your health will be, so the moments where you are semi-functioning, it's a blessing. I am only 33, but my body is that of a 60 year old. I don't know how much time I have to live (sanely) I should say, I dont do well on medication and basically become a shell of myself. So, everyday that I am able to be sound in mind, are minutes that can't be wasted. Time is so precious and health is wealth...
I hope Celine can find stem cell therapy or receive miraculous healing from God. She is so strong. God Bless.
No disrespect to you Ruby, but I find many Christians to be judgmental and just plain mean. They seem to lack empathy. I think Jesus would be hurt by the things they say and how they act. I was told by a nun that I would burn in hell because I asked a question in class. She said I was questioning the Lord. I was 8 years old!!
Important thing is repentance, we need Jesus whether we live or die, sick or in health. My heart breaks for her. Jesus is the answer to every problem. Please Celine repent and surrender to Jesus that's the final solution. This is not judgment.

I choose to be a good person, not because of a reward in the afterlife, but just because. You do it to get into heaven. That's not how a person with a good heart acts. You're not supposed to do it expecting something in return. The louder the bible thumping, the bigger the hypocrite.

It is definitely heartbreaking and painful to watch it brakes my heart to see her like that she is my childhood I wish I could ease your pain it is life threatening it gets me emotional 💔
I saw the scene, that scene broke my 💔. The scientists & doctors need to do more research on Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS). This scene was bananas. I love Céline Dion. Is documentary and also a Grammy for best documentary.
