I love the way David tears these false doctrines apart using scripture.

When you mentioned Acts it brought to mind Paul describing unbelievers who “suppress the truth” which indicates they can choose the truth.

Amen!! Unfortunately people get stuck in their theological beliefs and will not hear....hmmm will not hear...that sound familiar.

Thank you, pastor. Great job. I did not hear the previous message about Calvinism, but here are some additional salvation scriptures. Note: The only requirement is Belief. John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 3:23 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling stone and rock of offence: whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded
    The open invitation to salvation:
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
John 7:37-38 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

    Nice work as always, Preacher.
I hope it's just me, but I notice more and more people arguing that if you disagree with them, you disagree with God and they then compare you/me to evil.
I don't remember that happening so much just a few years ago, but now it pops up in just about every other discussion.
I hope I am wrong about this disturbing trend.

@hereticus40 We have experienced that same thing. Whether it is becoming more common, we cannot tell, but it is a very self-absorbed form of argumentation. Grace to you.

Awesome. The issue is, is one’s faith in a man-made system of theology, or to what the Bible says?

I was wandering if could help me understand the story of the rich man and lazerus ? If the resurrection has not happened yet how could lazerus have a finger to dip in water and touch the rich man’s tongue ? Also how did the rich man have a tongue?

@shanesettle2115 Good question. It appears to be the case that the soul has a similar appearance to a body although it is obviously not the same thing as the body. Hope this helps.

If calvinistic election is true, then so is reprobation...exactly as Calvin himself said. That would mean God actively, sovereignly chooses not only who to save but who to damn. But that would make Him a liar when He says that He desires none to perish.
Also, would a God who cannot lie hold people eternally responsible for rejecting a salvation gospel that He never elected or enabled them to believe? No.
    Calvinism is pure blasphemy.

9:11 I dislike defending Calvinism even inadvertently, since it is a false gospel. However, truth is truth and on this word you are wrong.
    συγκυρία - mistranslated "chance"
Even if you do a cursory lookup in Strong's you can see there is something wrong.
From a comparative of sun and kureo (to light or happen; from the base of kurios) kurios means supreme in authority
So this word is "an authoritative convergence that happens together"
kata exactly means either down or in synchronicity with
    So... Luke 10.31
"But in synchronicity with an authoritative convergence that happens together, some priest was stepping down along that particular road and staring at to discern him he comes alongside an alternative." Notice that the encounter was divinely appointed, but the priest's reaction was not. It was not a "chance" encounter.

So you are saying the KJV is wrong? Pastor Reid is simply reading from the bible.
Your attack is on the bible stating the word 'chance' and you disagree with God's word
