  • This video a customer brings in her Go-Go Folding scooter for service, repair and general clean up. After she spotted a few things broken I managed to do a repair rather than replace to keep this lady on the road.
Servicing your scooter or power wheelchair ca be just as important as servicing your vehicle if you rely on your mobility device as transportation. Keeping your mobility device in good working order can save you a lot of money in the long run if you don't spot or ignore simple repairs as it can soon lead to big repair bills or even the outlay for a new mobility device.

Hi John, Happy Easter brother. I hate having to replace broken plastic part as they are so expensive, even for us dealers. I have a Victory 9 I'm working on right now that needs a front foot shroud and I'm hating the fact I've got to buy one, as it will not get me any more money for the scooter it's just cometic thing.

Nice one Ian, another method to repair body work / shrouds being ABS, make up a solution of bits of ABS and Acetone then paint it on and may be put some s/s screen mesh to give it a bit more strength. It just so happens I was prepping body work today. Be lucky.

Great tip Clive, I'll have to steal some Acetone from drew the next time I'm over there. Thanks bud and say hi to the better half 😁

Ian, try using a cable tie and a soldering gun you must have stacks of broken ones! I have repaired car dash with this method and inside you can't see it and it don't need to be pretty best regards Ken

We've had the "Rascal" version of this scooter for about 18 mo's and have used it for a total of 5 or 6 weeks--only when we travel. Last trip overseas, we had to remove the battery pack (SLA). One corner of the casing was completely split as well as damage to screw spots. Weld gun and zip ties worked for ours. I had to redesign the battery case lid attachment. Now, if we could just figure out why the brake engages when both back wheels hit sidewalk ruts/elevator/metro gaps about an inch wide. So far, hitting the ruts at a diagonal seems to work to prevent brake lock. (I've watched the brake, motor, transaxle videos 😊). Thanks for the instruction!

Hi Ian!! Do you by chance have a front fork color panel for a GoGo ES 3 wheel unit (Any color) and a 7" rear wheel cover for a Golden Companion GC340? All Monster Scooter has is what I believe are aftermarket 6 5/8" which don't match the originals. (This is for my own personal GC340) Thanks!

Hi Richard, I'm a little confused! the ES S83 S84 only came with a complete front foot shroud that also covered the front forks, which I also believe the Mega-Motion 8 or Rascal 8 both owned by Pride are the same scooter. I do not have a used one but they are available from Pride (new) Email me if you want to order one. As for the 7" chrome rear wheel cover, no I do not have one and Monster SP says that the 6 5/8 replaces the 7" cover for the 10-inch rear wheel. I don't think they are aftermarket just can be used as a replacement for the 7" cover.
