- “Extra’s” Melvin Robert chatted with the cast of “The Bear” backstage at the 2024 Golden Globes, where the show had a big night! Ayo Edebiri spoke about shouting out assistants in her acceptance speech. The cast also reacted to Jeremy Allen White’s Calvin Klein underwear campaign - and Jeremy confessed the whole thing makes him a little uncomfortable!
- Zábava
Ebon was so spot on. "We're not here to talk about underwear." Love him for that.
Ayo is very classy in putting the picture away. Now that's a strong woman. For one thing, he pulled that picture and caught them by surprise. Come on.
agree - Melvin Robin, that was a shitty thing to do. Then you tried to pull the photo back out? After being graciously explained? Do better, that was embarassing but not for your victim or Ayo who is a superb human being.
Props to Ayo and the rest of the cast. Ayo was right to put the picture away, what the reporter did was completely out of pocket and embarrassing. If Jeremy Allen White were a female in a lingerie ad, they wouldn't show the picture in front of their castmates!
Ayo had no hesitation on shutting that shit down for her friend, and again by deflecting attention from him answering questions when he was clearly uncomfortable.
Jeremy even thanked her at the end
Excellent response from the entire team!
Good on his cast mates calling that out as inappropriate. They just won awards for their incredible work on the bear and the reporter wants to talk about Jeremy’s underwear. So inappropriate and not the correct forum.
Right and i like how Ayo protected Jeremy when the interviewer kept asking him questions making him uncomfortable. He actually turned red
yeah best believe he wouldnt be this trifling with an actress's pics
Yes like a family. Big Sis, yanked the sign
Redirect
Redirect but the idiot still kept going. Eventually asking the Obvious. Duh. Yes he’s uncomfortable. SMH
damn that was weird, but I love how you can really tell the cast is a family and they don't let bs fly
ayo is something different. good different. you can tell jeremy is alittle embarrassed about his close people and family looking at him in his underwear. Asking the people that are close to him what they think about him in underwear is insane! It’s the golden globes, ask about the winners awards not about his campaign. It’s so annoying and it’s disrespectful.
It's called Boston Strong...my girl's from Dorchester and def has our "doesn't take shit, sticks up for our own, and supports the underdog" attitude
So awkward. Why bring up the underwear ad when it's a group interview celebrating the win of their show? TACKY
So awkward tho, like don't he has anything better to ask them other than jeremy's photoshoot
love how the celebrities are not holding back from stopping the harassment of these reporters who want headlines. I've seen several moments of this since the Oscars. Good for them! there's a place and time for everything
Harassment, yep you called it right.
the cast: We are not talking about the underwear ad
the interviewer: *continues to ask questions about the underwear ad*
Exactly. He was so annoying. I will never understand how such poor conversationalists get gigs as interviewers.
Right, that was annoying as hell.
Like Ayo said, this is a work function. There’s no place for stunts like this in a professional environment.
And that’s why we love her!
Ayo shut them down for sexualising him for no reason. She truly ate.
Lol, the ad sexuality’s him. That’s the point.
So gross. I love this cast, and I adore Ayo. I am so, so happy for her. She's a multi talented actor and writer who's having a great year. She rulez.
Ayo was fully like “my boy is going to fold in on himself and actually implode if you keep talking about this. No” and also “we are not talking weight loss regimens right now BYE”
Damn she got his back on and off the show!!
Fr, loved how she'd divert the attention from him. That was so odd and disrespectful from the interviewers part
That was cringy. Why would they flash his castmates with a huge picture of him in his underwear? So disrespectful. There’s a time and place for that, and that wasn't it. You could tell everyone was uncomfortable. A lot of the interviewers were very disrespectful in regards to that that night. 😕
I love how they all were trying to deflect because they know it makes Jeremy uncomfortable…
Ayo is a real one. She had that photo (inappropriately) sprung on her by Extra earlier in the day so she was ready for it. And she SHUT IT DOWN FOR HER BOY!!!
Ayo and Jeremy's relationship 😢 ❤️
He asked Jeremy "Does this make you feel uncomfortable?"...
Jeremy answered "Yes"...
He then proceeded with same line of questioning ...🤨
It was so disrespectful.
Imagine accomplish something in your career and they talk about your underwear, wtf. If this happen to a woman, it would be called sexual harassment.
That isn’t sexual harassment but it did make him uncomfortable and he should’ve know that it wasn’t the time, place or manner to ask him about the Calvin klein shoot.
It does happen to women all the time and it's harassment regardless.
that already happened to when. they do it worst for women. go see the underwear questions to Scarlett Johnson
This has been happening to women all the time.
@@littlemissblackdress7587 some men are delulu they actually think this doesnt happen to women on the regular
Journalism is so lazy these days. Imagine celebrating such a monumental moment in your career as an actor and it be overshadowed by a Calvin Klein ad. 👎
You act as though he wasn't the one who agreed to do the Calvin Klein ad and it was somehow forced upon him.
@@SallyMankus130again they had just won an award for their show.. that’s such an easy topic, why is an underwear ad popping into conversation?
@@SallyMankus130like i said, they are here to discuss a GOLDEN GLOBE WIN.. not an underwear photoshoot.
@@SallyMankus130 he agreed to it but it has nothing to do with the awards they just one and the impact that the show has. So many important actors were there like the lady who plays Tina who, along with Jeremy, were seen protesting during the writers strike. They could have talked ab that or what to look forward to for season 3 but instead they chose to waste time and embarrass the hell out of Jeremy smh
@@SallyMankus130you act like you cooked with your dumb comment 💀
i thought the twitter clip from this interview of the CK ad pic coming up was awkward on its own, but oh my GOD when you witness how wholesome and grateful the conversation was before it happened and then you see the collective disinterest in the rest of the interview…like? you’d think as an interviewer you’d be able to read social cues and realize when a bit just isn’t funny and makes people visibly uncomfortable
0:33 HAHA the way jeremy and ayo look at each other because what did that even mean LMFAO
So happy Ayo shut it down. After watching, I feel like these gimmicks dont play well anymore. We've already heard the answer to this question thousand times from a thousand people. Reporters need new material. Maybe about acting and the process. Juat a thought.
Yall were so annoying for that, whoever decided to print that out should be fired
Not Carmy doing the nervous shuffle thing😂😂😂 I thought that was just a character habit
The way the cast handled with this embarassing moment keeping the good mood is pure class
I LOVE EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IN THIS MAN. this is a perfect response. WOW. shame on whoever planned this question
Ayo's the best, such a true cutie and an amazing friend clearly. Anyone who's watched even a couple of Jeremy's interviews and stuff would get that he's a very humble guy who's all about his craft and not fame, and who would be very uncomfortable with this kind of attention. And honestly anyone would hate it if they AND their castmates and show just won massively at the Golden Globes and all people can talk about is the calvin klein campaign. It has its place sure but people forget that actors don't want their physical appearance to overshadow their work and talent, and Jeremy seems like the last person who'd want that.
Yeah. This was disrespectful to the rest of the cast and to Jeremy. Well done to Ayo for shutting it down with comedy and to Ebon for plainly calling it out.
That was cringe. How pathetic.
The interviewer should be ashamed for such a tasteless cheap ass question. Wtf were they thinking??
And reporters wander why they can't always get interviews. This guy just doesn't know how to take hint. Love this cast. Congrats Jeremy and Ayo.
let’s talk about the cast writers all the people involved in this good ass show like !! questions like that are so corny and awk like read the roooom
Jeremy must’ve been embarrassed. Aside from that. The cast of The Bear look amazing.
yikes... love the cast, sad they had to go through this
Wack move by Extra pulling out that huge ad. Glad Ayo and the cast shut that down BS down.
Tasteless interview. Not the time to bring it up
Sheesh, that was rough. THE BEAR FOR THE WIN🍖🔥
Everyones so nervous but its adorable. They all seem like chill people to be around irl ❤
The way Jeremy kept looking to Ayo while answering 🥹
Ayo is a g
Whoever came up with this segment should be fired immediately. Cringe AF. Ayo was being such a big sister to Jeremy.
....a sister....right...
@@neonrays28 umm ok creepo
That was absolutely shameful of the interviewer! He humiliated our boy Carmy and ruined their moment! That was painful to watch
Imagine if he did that to a woman...
I mean repoters have been asking women inappropriate questions and doing shit like this for ages. I dont have to imagine too much. And obviously they all werent putting up with this sh1t as you can see in the video, so i dont understand the relevance of you mentioning women here.
What a wise group of peers for protecting him from the BS of an CK advert campaign. The gals were great with the deflections! 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
Im surprised Molly, Oliver and Jon arent there??!!! As well as the actor who plays Pete😢 But its good to see everyone else. One of my FAVORITE casts and I love how they support each other
They're not the main cast.
@@neonrays28 jon bernthal, oliver platt and the actor for Pete have been in two seasons already and will be in the third. Molly was a huge part of season 2. Oh well i guess
Should fire whoever had that idea
Favorite Show, Well Deserved 🎉
Melvin Robin - what bad decision making lead to that?
Is being mean somehow supposed to be an interview technique?
Shame on you for not once but twice breaking out that photo. Do better.
Why are interviewers like this guy so annoying. He's more excited than the winners.
Love the bear and the underwear😂Ayo is amaazing
Damn Melvin read the room.
amazing series
The guy giving the interview really cant read the room. Youre at the Golden Globes. Yet he decides to laser focus on a Calvin Klein ad. Jeremy even told him he was uncomfortable. Dude, stop!
Yeah that was a shame. They are there to talk about their show and to get more people to watch it and the character development of the show not about his photo shoot. Sometimes I think the press forget why they're at the award show. Honor their projects and talents an actor and what they've done on each film or television show.
Seriously the interviewer is so dumb for thinking showing that picture would create something fun and interesting to talk about. Like you feel how fucking uncomfortable and weird that was for Jeremy and the rest of the cast
Bro has 8 people in the room and only has questions for one. He sucks as a commentator
A guy can be famous and hot and also be introvert. They all work with him and knows he was uncomfortable so they shut whatever that messy question was.
1:00-1:02 lol!
Does he think hes friends with these actors just bcos he saw a damn underwear ad 😂
great answer this is not an underwear awards 👏👏👏👏
Such a weird thing to bring up.
They were all so quiet 🙄shame on that interviewer
This felt very disrespectful. There's a time and place. Unprofessional interviewer. Call him out. Melvin Robert, you should be ashamed.
Bad reporter!
The presenters should be ashamed.

Nowadays…? Hell yeah. those dumbass leading questions don’t fly anymore. This generation doesn’t let the interviewer get 2 strikes you’re out. They ask, right back, why you asking that ? And if the point is not received and the interviewer doesn’t stop they shut it down, walk away lol I’ve seen rappers walk tf out not tolerating shit. Time and place. Lol.
Y’all need to chill. Jeremy knew what he was getting into when he did that advert… With Marky mark Wahlberg did it back in the 90s it’s all people could talk about so he knew it would get attention and I think he secretly likes it. Why wouldn’t he? He looks beautiful 🔥
I know bro was embarassed
This interviewer is so obnoxious pls read the room
Glad the actors are fighting back this objectifiying of people. So disgusting. Also these whole thirst tweet nonsense.
Why would he take a photo for Calvin Klein if he didn’t want people to see it?!? But I love AYO, she’s a real one and a fierce friend. 😍
Think about that for a minute. The cast is like family. That was completely embarrassing for him in front of his "fam"
Jeremy is kind of slow when it comes to publicity. He was the last one to get social media then recently ditched social media bc he commented on a photoshoot and it sparked too much attention. I dont think he realizes hes “THAT guy” right now bc for the longest time he wasnt. When he was on Shameless he was considered ugly and u had to have been quirky/different if u thought he was cute. He had a serious glow up and doesnt realize fully how everyones looking at him
Of course he wasnt forced to do that ad, but mentioning it after an award show for a hard worked project in front of the whole cast is fcking disrespectful and low. Jeremy isnt the first or the last celeb to do an ad but that doesnt mean you have to mention that when the event is supported to be focused on another project.
@@healingpoisonbreak9984 i feel like they could have made a passing comment/question ab the ad bc its been hugely successful but showing the poster was too much and very disrespectful
Yea, unclassy... nobody wants to see..what a struggling actor had to do or endear to make it... probably had to get on the casting couch after that photo session...tacky
Seriously?!? They were up for award in the “comedy” department and they have no sense of humor?? He DID the advertisement and billboard and video…have a sense of humor already. Ridiculous reaction. Ridiculous.
not everything has to be a comedy or a joke. There's always a time for these kind of jokes, they weren't fcking with it at that time.
@@LFNZE oh pleeaase. He did the pictures and film. As much as I love this show it just goes to prove what everyone is saying. That they shouldn’t have been in the comedy department. Acting or not. NONE of them have ANY sense of humor.
@@aero3589 I agree that it shouldnt have been in the comedy department, in that i actually agree. But the producers and company were smart, and they bagged all the awards in the emmys.
What is wrong with the woman in the red dress?
Who is that girl in red.. She talks a Lot…
I almost got into a car crash looking at Jeremy’s Calvin Klein ad….let’s not down play his HOTNESS….it needs to brought up at EVERY opportunity🫦😘
No it doesn't that was very inappropriate, he is pretty cute, but there's a time and a place for that shit and he looked uncomfortable😒🤷♀️
