Just to clarify where the camp actually is…it is filmed in Springbrook National Park 15,300 acre rainforest near Murwillumbah the camp and studio is in Dungay near Murwillumbah…Brisbane is 127 klm and about 1.25 hr drive away..the Gold Coast is 77klm and about 1 hr drive…Murwillumbah is in the state of New South Wales…Brisbane is in Queensland..hence 2 different state governments..the camp was used for our Australian Celebrity version in 2021-2022 because of lockdown…I live in Brisbane visited the park several times over the years and have watched both countries version myself..🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
My aunt lived just down the road in Murwillumbah and the story they were “in the jungle” always amused/annoyed her. Gorgeous place though, I wouldn’t want to get out of there.
…like a lot of rainforest areas it is really like a jungle in Australia it can be pretty rugged, challenging with creepy crawlers and millions of plants…I have my home in the sub tropical in Brisbane which is ideal like for growing jungle plants….my gardener calls it …A “Jungalow” when he comes to maintain my property 😂.🇦🇺🇦🇺
