EASY DIY Roof Rack Build | WE SAVED $2,000 making our own Roof Racks

Welcome back to our Van Build Series, we’re Dom & Jesso, and we’re converting this ford transit van into our dream home on wheels to continue travelling Australia full time 🌞
we saved ourselves $2,000 by building our own aluminium roof-racks for the van! 🚐 we made DIY roof-racks from aluminium tubing, to save money & to customise them to perfectly fit our future solar panels.
we pop-riveted the frame together, sanded & painted it multiple times before mounting to the roof 🙌🏽
We’re super happy with how it turned out & it only cost a total of $600!!! 🛠️🚐

Good progress. Nice to see pop rivets instead of aluminium welding. A bit easier. Make sure you treat that rust at 09:21!
