  • What a fantastic upgrade for your Land Rover Discovery 3 LR3. Nearly 2000LMs, E marked and IP rated for just £52 the pair. With an easy modification to the braket, they sit neatly inside the Discovery 3's grille and are the perfect upgrade for off road driving. Plus I remove the defunct amber beacon from the roof and water seal it with a marine spec wire channel mount.

I have the US version with the V8 and front foglights. What I did was I put those type of light underneath the foglights and also wired them up as DRL and wired it in the fuse box so they go on automatically and go off automatically with no interior switch.
    Cheers 🍻 🇺🇸

You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find decent quality floodlights that size, for sensible money.
I needed some camp lights for the roof of my Disco, foolishly bought some from eBay (which filled with water within days), replaced them with some bigger ones which I never really liked and then, eventually, bought some LAP Strolux lights that were £60 EACH.
Seems like there's almost no "mid-range" when it comes to off-road lights.
You can either buy "eBay tat" that'll leak and then die within a couple of months or you can take out a 2nd mortgage and buy "name-brand" lights.
If I'd seen these Osram lights when I was looking for my camp lights, they would definitely have been top of my shopping list.

I’d love an update on that roof grommet thingy when it’s had some rain on it.

Id love to see a video on some defender lights. As per a previous comment i have steuggled with finding good quality at a reasonable price. All have failed in the past. Be awseome if the defender could have grille lights!
Keep up the good work. 👍🏼

Just wondering why the right hand side front head light grill is off now? I do like the look of the cable seal. Will be using one of them on my Landy for the front spotlights.

I’d be interested in hearing the legal stand point on fitting these lights. I don’t think the “ off road use only” mantra would stand if pulled by the police because they can easily be operated on road.

If you're not actually using off-road lights on the road, you're not committing an offense regardless of how easy it'd be to do so.
The law (IIRC) is simply that additional lights must be operated by a dedicated switch and not wired into your road lights.
Let's face it, if there WAS an issue with fitting extra lights, almost every HGV in the UK would fail it's MOT as a result of the extra lights they have fitted "for off-road use".... and which they use on-road whenever there's no other traffic around.
