I remember when I first saw this scene, I thought it was the most realistic representation of dream recollection I had ever seen in a show. How you forget the dream by the time you wake up, but little things remind you of the dream, and you remember how it made you feel, and you slowly keep piecing things together until you remember it all. Most other shows have people remember the whole dream as soon as they wake up. I had to applaud the realism here.
I just wake up and remember them. I still remember my first nightmare when I was 6. The jist being my Face was smashed in with a brick by some guy who was wearing a samurai/Chinese inspired outfit. Happened in my parents driveway while no one could hear me cry for help. It also involved Drake & Josh getting murdered by a Chinese/japanese ghost and it was connected to the guy who killed me somehow. Mostly by appearance of outfit.
I also loved how once you piece the whole dream together it goes against your reality and you feel ashamed or beside yourself with idea that deep down inside these are the things your reptile brain or maybe even your higher function to some degree imposed upon you.

peggys dream is honestly very realistic and applicable when you realize what kind of person peggy is....even the exaggerated nature of the dream and her enthusasm in how she speaks about it is very telling. she murders somone of higher authority to supplant him and in doing so not only faces no repercussions but gets elevated to a ridicules extent.

It was always very specific: I would be in a specific place doing a certain task. It was like a flash, and I was there. The events would occur years or maybe just days in advance. But they were always just like I saw it. Never a warning; just everyday life. Felt crazy when it occurred.
