Im not sure tho but i think that you can remove weed that is bigger than the "small" with a mulcher BUT using a mulcher can destroy your crop so use it before planting anything
You dont have any weeds therefore it wont make an impression to the texture. Just direct seed and be done why double your work. Weeds will appear as crops grow if any..Have you got weeds switched on???
