Very nice... Love it .. new here
Hi Thank you for the comment its much appreciated , i'm glad you like it :)
That's definitely the best way to make a ring. I learned by making a few niches in a piece of posterboard. I can't stand making stencils but I definitely need to make one for rings😒
Hi Thomas, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment and feedback it's really appreciated :) I have tried the way using the card with notches in it but it never really turned out the way i wanted it too, so i decided to make a stencil instead to see how it would work and turn out , i think the stencil way looks a lot better then the card with notches in , Yes it takes a lot longer to make the stencil and paint the ring but i think it's worth it :)
Great work. Can you show us how to make the stencil rings. Blessings
Hi Albie, Yes i could show you how to make the rings, I'll put it on my to do list for a future video :) Hope this helps :)
That's the best Saturn ever. How did you cut that out of paper. And get it so perfect
This music is a blend of Jurassic Park and Star Wars

Star Park
Dinosaurs In Space (scoffs) nailed it
Hi Lloyd, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment I really appreciate it :) Yes it doe's a bit :) I like the names you have come up with :) :)
good job:D
Thank you :)
Loved watching this grow. Could you do a video on making the stencil for this please?
Hi Sally, Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment i appreciate it :) Great suggestion i do in fact have a step by step tutorial planned to show how it is done, so hopefully very soon i will have it ready for you to watch :) :)
I do mine with laptop and a cheap projector
@@JonBarberArt Hi man, did you have time to make a little video for the stencil? It's beautiful, I love your work 👌😉
Can you tell me what colour spray paint you use pls?
El último spray es barniz?? Gracias
Very nice son. Good job. I’m subscribed. I’ll stick with ya mate.
Hi Stephen , thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and feedback and thank you for the support its very appreciated :)
Hi. I'm very interested in what you do and would like to have a go myself. However looking on ebay everything is so expensive. Can I ask where do you buy your supplies ie spray paint and brand. Paper and type. Also do the suppliers do postage. If you don't know Can you supply addresses please. I also wonder how many pictures could you get out of a Can of 250ml on A2 size Paper. I know it depends on coverage but let's say a planet picture.
How dhow did you make the stencil??
Just wondering what was the very last spray you used was it just a clear coat?
Hi Joe, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment and question it's much appreciated :) The last thing i use on the painting was a clear coat spray paint, Hope this helps :)
do you have a video of how you made the stencil?
Hi Kurt, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment and question i appreciate it, I will be doing another video similar to this in the future but with step by step talking in it :) hope this helps.
It would be fun to paint an entire room and ceiling like this ....add some LEDs....a soundtrack....
im sure this is a comment somewhere but where do you get the plastic pieces at i use newspaper and its ok but feel like the plastic is the way to go for best results
Hi Ryan, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment, and the question, I really appreciate it :) The Plastic sheet I use is part of a large bag that I cut up so it's easier to use, I got them from a place I use to work, they were throwing lots of them in a skip, so I took them, I don't know anything about them or where I would get any more from, all I know is they are a large plastic bag, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Did you make your stencil?
Hi Chett, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment and question i really appreciate it :) Yes i made the stencil myself.
What color paint you use in painting saturn
Hi John, Thank you so much for the comment and the question i really appreciate it :) The colours i used were some grey's , blue, white, black, and light yellow/sand colour, i can't remember the names of each of the colours it been a while since i painted this, sorry i couldn't be more helpful.
Oi Jon, what colors did you use? Cheers.
Hi Tendou, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment and question I really appreciate it :) I can't remember the names of each paint :( but they were a couple of shades of sand colour, black, white, a couple of greys and a mountain blue colour, sorry i couldn't be more helpful.
@@JonBarberArt this was helpful. 👍
Hi Tendou, Glad to hear you found the information helpful :)
How did you make the stencil for the rings??? I am a 65 year old great-grandma, just starting your techniques, but I am unable to freehand them. HELP!!!
Hi Nancy, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment, and the question, I really appreciate it :) i have a tutorial on my channel where i show how to make the rings around the planet, that will help you better, then me try and put it all in words in a comment :)
I love it but why paint and then cover the paint with another color. At the end some of the colors you used doesn’t even show up. Just curious.
Hi Prince, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment, and feedback, it’s really appreciated :) i was trying to get a image i had in my head for the planet, so was kind of a trail and error thing, but i still love how it turned out :)
Hi friend 👍 Nice it's amazing to see 👌👌 goodgoo creativity 💐💐💐
I'm the new subs of your channel 👍💐get connected
Hi and thank you so much for the feedback and leaving a comment and for the support its much appreciated:)
what lid did you use here? every lid i use, when i lift it up there’s always the planet then a black ring then more color.
Hi Andrew, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment and question I really appreciate it :) The lid i'm using are old food tub lids, Are you using colours in the background of your painting? and what kind of lids are you using? Let me know and then i can help you better :)
@@JonBarberArt Yes i use color for the background too, i just use random objects around the house that are circular, and they always have rings, do i let the paint dry then put the cover on?
Hi Andrew, I think by the sound of what you are saying that when you spray the colours on the background that they are not going right to the edge of your lids when you spray them, so then it would leave a tiny thin line between your planet and the coluors you have used. If you are adding colours around your planets try and spray around the lids at a angle spraying towards the lids lightly so it doesn't go under the lid, this way you shouldn't have a black line around your planet then, I hope this makes sense and helps you out :) If you need to know anything else feel free to ask :) P.S i may do a video in the future showing the difference :)
@@JonBarberArt okay thank you!
No problem Andrew, Happy to help :)
How do you do this without the stencil is the question
Hi Oneshot, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment and the question i really appreciate it :) I have a full tutorial on my channel where i show you different way of making the rings with out a stencil, this may help you more then me trying to explain it in a comment :)
For all of you just interested in the rings it starts at 5:23
Hi DerUltner, Thank you for the comment :)
this guy is amazing but dear lord how many layers does he use, or at least explain your using aftermarket caps
Hi Ryan, Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave this comment, and the great feedback, i really appreciate it :) Yes i did a few layers in this, was trying to get the texture i wanted, and yes i'm using a after market cap on the cans cause the stock caps that come with the cans spit to much for spray paint art :(
@@JonBarberArt Thank you for replying and taking the time out of your day to reply to my comments. I didn't understand why I wasn't getting the outcome that I wanted. And I figured out why
Hi Ryan, No problem, thank you for asking the question :) :) :)
So could you tell me what cap did what, i bought some but not sure which to use
Good job, but for tutorial more info step by step is necessary
Hi Nirmal, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment, feedback and the suggestion i appreciate it, I will be doing another video similar to this in the future but with step by step talking in it :) hope this helps.
@@JonBarberArt It surely does
