  • We've already recorded and tested the Sandero a little while ago, but today's video will be a little different, as this car comes equipped with an automatic. Well... Not a double-clutch or a torque converter, though. It's basically an automated manual

    I have friends with the Stepway 1.5Dci and I have to say it is a very nice car to be in, simple but comfortable and the engine is more than adequate.
    My 1.6hdi 110cv is livelier but the engine performs more than enough. It is a cheap and simple car but it does never feel like you are missing out on anything.
    Very good car!

    I bought my 2 year old sandero in September, I knew that it's basically a Romanian built, previous generation Renault clio. It has the quality of a clio but for about £2500/3000 for a similar
    model and age etc. Why on earth would I spend more? I've been ridiculed by badge snobs, yet I can laugh at them for being ripped off

      In my opinion it looks nicer than the Renault however my friend owns the clio this car is based on, his clio has awful build quality, you can literally move the interior panels and bend them.

Reanault is selling their low cost cars as Dacia because they thought it will sale really good in romania(because of the old Dacia brand. and because of the money problems that we have)... but, unfortunately, the Dacia brand is selling better in others countrys because the romania people "are to poor/stupid to buy a new low cost car", and they chose a 19+ year used premium car.... for witch they buy used brake discs and pads.......

    i'm not sure who (Dacia or Renault) but some of the engines that could fit are not used, like the 1.5 diesel with 110HP, which is only used on the Duster and Dokker or Lodgy, Renault also make a 1.6 diesel with 130 and 160 HP, pretty sure those would fit and there is a 1.6 turbo with 160-200HP (can't remember)

    • @aLtta1
      @aLtta1 Před 6 lety

      Joe G.P. yeah... but Dacia is the low cost brand of Renault, why put a medium range engine(this means a bigger price for production, sale and maintenance) on a low end car?Duster needs a "more potent" engine because of the off road capabilities, and the other are "multi purpose vehicles", used for people or materials, or both and need a little bit more power... Sandero and Logan are city cars...

      @john jay...Prietene, tu esti normal la cap? Compari un 3 cil. cu un 6 linie de la BMW? Sau pur si simplu simteati nevoia sa te lauzi cu ce ai tu? Cat depre "motor chinuit" pentru ca are turbo, prietene, turbina aia este de presiune mica. Stiu ce spun, sunt inginer auto.

    • @zaphodbogdan33
      @zaphodbogdan33 Před 7 lety +2

      Corect, dar nu ridica nimeni in slavi motorul ala, doar ca nu poti sa compari merele cu portocalele. Sunt motoare diferite, gandite pentru aplicatii diferite si folosite in masini pentru un public tinta total diferit. In concluzie, urasc cand vad oameni care compara masini din ere si clase total diferite. Nu are sens. Motorul asta este un motor corect si relativ fiabil, avand in vedere costul de achizitie al masinii. Masina ta a costat enorm prin comparatie cand a fost noua, drept urmare are un motor exceptional. Repet, turbina aia nu este pusa acolo pentru putere si nu chinuie in nici un fel motorul. Rostul ei este de a micsora consumul. App, cred ca motorul 6linie de la BMW este cel mai grozav motor creat vreodata. O zi buna.

  • @GlossaME
    @GlossaME Před 7 lety

    The same kind of gearbox you find on a Peugeot 508, which is a different class altogether, and a different price. An automatic gearbox is a gearbox that changes the gears for you, that's it. If you get technical, why don't you tell the viewers how much does it cost to change a clutch on a double clutch automatic?

  • @mircea5013
    @mircea5013 Před 7 lety +1

    Not all automatic gearboxes have 2 clutches. There are automatic gearboxes with 1 clutch. But this isn't an automatic gearbox. It's actually like a manual, but a computer changes the gears. A robotized gearbox I think it's called.
