I would like to be honest here. Yasir Qadhi is accusing Muslims of worshiping graves or saints, it is either due to his ignorance or due to being brainwashed by Salafi group. Reality is, no one worship graves or saints. We visit grave, read Qur'an, pray to one Allah, to elevate status of person inside grave and ask Allah to forgive us with the Wasila of the saint. Worshipping is not equal to Wasila. Wasila is another discussion, but in America, if you sit and accuse Muslims who use wasila as Mushriks, you're polluting minds of your listeners of hatred for fellow Muslims. Wasila is such a topic which is very deeply discussed by giant sunni scholars of 14 centuries, so dismissing it as shirk is basically attacking fellow Muslim. May Allah Almighty guide us to not accuse each other of Shirk, which is what Wahabism has done to ummah.

I used to go dargah just like you. Never prayed to the saint. But later stopped it completely.
      1. Building solid grave/mausoleum is not allowed in islam (there would have been numerous dargahs of sahaba).
      2. Not like you, but there are many people who go there to make dua (to get child or job etc), do sajda on mazar and nobody bothers to object.
      3. These kind of places should remind us of death/aaqirah, but unfortunately environmenr is more like family picnics these days.
About waseela, what I am aware is certain type of waseela allowed. So it should be in islamic way only. Just study about it.

On the one one hand the sheikh criticizes those who go to the 'saints' so they could intercede on their behalf (Shafa’ah), and, on the other hand, he also believes (like most " ulema") that the Prophet (saws) will intercede on our behalf on the DOJ! Isn't this the same concept? I see the same idolatry in this belief as well. I see people reciting darood non-stop because they believe this will enable the Prophet (saws) to make Shafa’ah for them.
There is a big lacuna in this argument of the sheikh. The fact is that the Qur'an never tells us that the Prophet will intercede for anyone. The job of the Prophet (sws) was to act as witness to his follower and to convey the message, and then let everyone take the responsibility for themselves. Shafa’ah belongs to Allah alone. Only He knows who gets the permission for it, other than the angels.

The intercession of the Prophet PBUH is established in numerous authentic hadiths. The difference is that we ASK ALLAH (not the Prophet PBUH) to be alllowed to get the virtue of his intercession.

      Mirza Baig
Read the verse again brother, it says, “cause it to be forgotten” so here he’s saying that he PURPOSELY is making SOME of the Quran forgotten, and Allah even informed Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم with that in the beginning of his quest. Even then, some abrogated verses have been forgotten. So there’s nothing to doubt here, Allah is doing this with his complete will. Other than that, the Quran has been completely preserved and memorized. :)
