  • Dr. Joël Claveau, MD, FRCPC, Dermatologist, presenting "Melanoma Diagnosis & Biopsies".
If your doctor or dermatologist finds a suspicious mole, a biopsy is performed. A biopsy is the removal of tissue for examination under a microscope to make a formal diagnosis of melanoma and skin cancer. Watch as Dr. Claveau explains the importance of dermoscopy in identifying and diagnosing melanoma, as well as the different types of biopsies that may be used by your physician.

I was diagnosed with Stage 1A. The mole was removed and then a wide excision. Looks like they got it all. What’s the chance of it coming back?
