If your doctor or dermatologist finds a suspicious mole, a biopsy is performed. A biopsy is the removal of tissue for examination under a microscope to make a formal diagnosis of melanoma and skin cancer. I was diagnosed with Stage 1A. The mole was removed and then a wide excision. Looks like they got it all. What’s the chance of it coming back?
