Blues originated from the Black Culture in the USA. Carlos is of Mexican decent, I think it repulsive to highlight any Cubano influences without mentioning his Mexican native roots influence first. Or, simply articulate at Latin Blues...

I heard this for the first time today in my way to work, and it automatically took me to a different place. I wanted to be in Miami, driving in some type of convertible late at night while smoking a joint 😩. No lie, I wanted to reach a place where I was so relaxed when reaching an unknown destination where I could do a slow grinding salsa with my partner, this song let's my imagination run and I love it.

I went to see him in Padova, Italy, 1 year before he published this masterpiece of an album and he actually tested this song on us. I loved it, and felt like i'd known this piece all my life, but during the concert I just couldn't remember which album it was from, so I went back home and found out he hadn't published it at all ! Incredible.

I'm 21. I live in Canada in the province of Quebec. My father often plays the album Santana's Greatest Hits in the car in MP3. I went to get all of Santana's records from my teenage years. Santana does not change and stays true to her style. He has a great imagination. These guitar solos are always impressive. I was looking for rock with African percussion and something better than normal rock and Santana gives me with all the favorite songs of these records. Thank you Santana for contributing to African styles with rock !! I love you!

I have been listening to him since I was 16. I am now 68. I always loved the Latin feel to his music but I was surprised to hear him say in an interview that his music is “basically African”. That really made me look at his work in a different light. To me he is one of the finest contemporary artists alive. I am a painter but his artistry inspires me to reach higher and higher because it comes from his heart of love.
