might not be in any movies, but I am sure it's in so many weddings. it's a big hit wedding song
Its a beautiful ballad.. i love shania voice.
It hard to beat the writer singing their own song for me. She put her heart into it.
She did this song along with Backstreet boys as a duet.. it sounds very beautiful
Mutt was her producer/husband. This was one of the highest selling albums ever and on e of the first country/pop crossovers - setting path for Taylor Swift, Dixie Chicks, etc. Mutt was a very successful and talented producer at the time and was key in Shania’s success. Just a shame their marriage and prof collabs ended on back of his running away with Shania’s best friend. Shania has had a lot of tragedy and heartbreak in her life and good to see her more active in music recently.
What a beautiful song. And she looks stunning, and the fabulous dress, and the shining jewel on her face. I had to remember to breathe.
Forever and for Always is another great Shania song!
I'll second "Forever and for Always"! Great song!!
React
I like this song more than "You're Still The One" which was her single before this one and her largest pop/Top 40 hit. I personally love Shania singing slow, dramatic songs like this.
Shania is a Canadian legend, this song is my Favorite of Shania❤, and she is just STUNNING❤!!! A BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS Woman❤❤
Shania just released a new song and video for it called “Waking Up Dreaming “!
There is a live version, of her with the Backstreet Boys!
It wasn’t in a movie,Shania did write it in honor of her parents and she wanted Celine Dion to sing it but Shania did.
My husband and I had this played at our wedding in 98. Love her music.
Absolutely love this song pure perfection in every way ❤❤
There is a duet version with Brian White that is my favourite. They share singing the verses.
When she sings live with The Backstreet boys, it gives me goose bumps every time!
Mine too!
Love this song and she has a fantastic voice.
Crazy you never heard this song before. It was on the radio non-stop for years and used a lot in weddings. A very good album. Yes this was released the same year as My heart will go on. =)
How can you concentrate on the song, when she is absolutely that stunning! I had to watch this 4 times before I actually heard!! Ha!
Huge hit was a change from her pop Country. Became an instant wedding song.
Beautifull song shania thanks alie ❤❤❤❤❤
I bought this CD when it came out, and I can say it is the only "country" album I have ever purchased! It's fun to see you discover her music 😊.
Did you watch her documentary on Netflix? It was good. She's a sweetheart.
I feel like flying, she's so beautiful.. I love her nose ♥️
Haven't you heard it before? seriously?... To me, this is her best ballad. there is a live version feat Backstreet boys, amazing. Actually, she made a song called You've got a way which is in Notting hill's soundtrack...it got a grammy nomination...You can react to this. Thx
this music is so perfect
Check out Underneath the Stars by mariah carey! She and Shania Twain are my top 2 fav artists ever lol! 😁 they both have distinct writing styles that really appeal to me. I think Underneath the stars really shows off Mariah’s skills as a writer, plus the vocals aren’t too in your face the way she sometimes does lol!
One of mine and my mums favourites. Mum always thought despite it being used as a wedding song at countless ceremonies, she found it relatable as a song celebrating the birth of her children- the gift of bringing new life into the world. So timeless so stunning (as is Shania).
Shania is legend forever😍
Oh I remember this song when I was little I miss the 90’s.
Instant wedding song as soon as it became known.
She was my woman crush. What makes this music different is the producer, Mutt Lange. He was the producer behind Def Lepord. That’s why the pop/country/rock feel. Check out her very first album without his influence. You’ll see the difference.
Shania is amazing, what voice, what song! I love this song 😍❤️
Most BEAUTIFUL SONG 🎶
Yes Mutt Lange is Robert and was her husband at the time. He famously cheated on her with her best friend
But in a twist she ended up marrying her best friends husband. 🤔
@@RockFan89 oh that’s right I forgot
Such a gorgeous song. When my new husband and I met online we shared songs back and for every morning and every night. I remember that this was one the many’s I send to him. Songs are a wonderful way to communicate with each other, because sometimes it’s just hard to find the perfect words
Her song that was used in a film was "You've Got a Way" from Notting Hill, off of the same record.
I'm covered in goosebumps!!! This gem is a VERY popular wedding song. She wrote it at a soccer match. The irony of it all. This album is beyond amazing! My other fave song by her is Kaching! About people's obsession with money and trying to keep up appearances. LOVE Shania ❤️ this album sold over 40 million copies!!!! Let that sink in...
You have awesome taste all the songs you've reacted to recently have all been favorite's of mine
Hi Anton,
I'm really enjoy your reactions and agreed with a lot of what you are saying. I don't comment on hardly any videos that I view, but on rare occasion I do, and this is that occasion. Have you heard of Morrissett Amon? If you haven't, do yourself a huge favor and research her out. Take all the greatest female vocalist from past and current, roll all their best attributes into one person, that is Morrissett Amon. Belting, no problem, whistle register, no problem, riffs & runs, no problem, but the best thing is that she a life performer, no auto tune needed, just give her a platform. Factor Morrissett into the equation and it will change everyone's musical standards.
Such an incredible song Anton.
I obviously loved Celine Dion's song from The Titanic, but with Shania Twain she has also an amazing voice. Maybe not the same as Celine Dion's Titanic but Shania DEFINATELY did sing 'From this Moment On' with so much emotion, superb. Adore Shania Twain, & all of her songs!! Her voice is obviously different to Celine's in this song & SHE WROTE IT!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful song
Beautiful song ♥️
Loveeeee this song❤
I karaoke this song with my dad ❤️ The version with Bryan White is so good.
His songs:
Someone Else's Star
Sitting on Go
Rebecca Lynn
So Much For Pretending
and I Stand Alone (from the animated movie Quest for Camelot) also done by Steve Perry of Journey! ❤️
Una de mis cantantes favoritas. Súper cantante y me recuerda a Karen Carpenter.
The song was written by Shania Twain, with additional production and songwriting by Robert John "Mutt" Lange.
Shania is just so damn beautiful especially in this video. This song was played at many weddings in the late 90's. I don't think it was in a movie soundtrack.
Robert "Mutt" Lange became her producer and her career took off. I know of him from all of the Def Leppard albums he's produced.
Mutt is a nickname. If you see a pic of him it makes sense I guess. LOL
And as someone mentioned they were married 12 yrs I think.
If you watch that Def Leppard movie he helped them take off too
Brings back memories of playing this song and the album all the time. Still on my iPod. Love how she incorporates different genres into her music. The original version of this song is a duet with country singer, Bryan White, but im used to her solo version. You can hear his vocals in the background at some points but listen to his full vocals on the album itself. This song wasn't in a movie soundtrack but her other slow song ballad, You've Got a Way, was in the Nottinghill Soundtrack with Hugh Grant. You can react to that one. A beautiful song too. I think this album is more Pop Country than Country Pop. It goes both ways depending on which ways it is marketed on radio.
Love the song.
Dont think its been jn any movies this is my favorite of hers one beautiful lady
This was played at a whole LOT of weddings when it first came out!
This isn't the Bryan White version. You should check that version out though cause to me it's an improvement having this song more of a duet, it sort of adds to the meaning when you have the man and woman sing it together.
The song was written and produced by Mutt Lange…her then husband and of AC/DC fame
You should check out the duet she did with backstreet boys. It's the same song. It's really good.
Just a stunningly beautiful voice and an awesome song.
Yes, she was married to her then husband Robert "Mutt" Lange.
Wait, did she had divorce with her?
@@jking4518 zz Yes they divorced. He was having an affair with her friend and assistant. Mutt and her assistants husband were friends as well.
Mutt Lange was his husband and producer. This was their golden time. The best of Shania.
Talked right over the beginning of the crescendo of the song😂
I remember having a huge crush on this song... and it didn't really wear off . I always feel it a marrying song and she is sooo beautiful on the video
Cool, a bobblehead
she was the best. this albumn sold like a Kazillion copies
This version was not the Shania and Bryan White version. It’s a true duet. He was a big country name at that time of release, then fell off the radar. The pop release was the shania only version and the one released to country music was the duet.
I married my childhood sweetheart and I chose to walk down aisle to that song…they have a longer version to that song and that was version I chose…so basically she talks at beginning and my bridesmaids walked down to that and I walked down when shania started - I told my husband the song I have picked has meaningful lyrics so listen and he did.
The lyrics my bridesmaids walked down to was “ I do swear that il always be there, I’d give anything and everything and I will always care, through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow, for better for worse, I will love you with every beat of my heart 💜 “
The highest selling country album of all time, and the highest selling female album of all time. You read that right.

I think it is just you. Don’t get me wrong Celine is also in my top singer/vocalist/artist but the fact that Shania Twain WROTE this and performed it is why for me it ranks higher. I have more respect for artists who write & record their own songs. Also she didn’t write this for her & her husband she wrote it as a tribute to her deceased parents who she believed would be together forever if they were still on earth & are now together forever in their afterlife which is even what it says on their tombstone TWAIN - Sharon & Jerry “Together Forever”
I prefer this as the duet with Bryan White!
You should react to One Headlight by The Wallflowers
This was no the Brian white version. I much prefer their vocals back and forth. Their voices blend magically
Others have touched on this: The album/Bryan White duet was better. Male and female interaction truly gave the song meaning. The "Titanic" reference was spot on: her career sank after this
Mutt Lange was her husband
Men are immediately smitten
React with Backstreet boys 🇧🇷🙏🏾
Listen to wasted on you by Morgan wallen
React to always be my baby mariah carey
can you please react to "loser" by charlie puth and analyze it :)
I'm in a minority with you. I know Shania Twain has a lot of fans and deservedly so, but as someone who is by and large not a fan of country music I never got into her music. Yes, I see how holding her to Celine Dion with a similar type of pop ballad isn't totally fair.
Love her... Great Song writer with such a unique voice and awesome personality. 90s divas are on another level (except for mariah, she is trash).
I think it's unfair to compare Shania to Celine, they are both great in their own way, obviously Celine's voice is unmatched, but Shania's is very good as well, outstanding and has different qualities. I also don't think it's fair to say Shania is a country singer, even though I can completely understand why you would think this, her voice and the way she sings has country elements to it, I just don't understand why people can't just leave some artists in the pure pop genre (straying into other genres at times as well).
Other questions you ask, yes, Mutt Lange (who was also a huge part behind the success of Bryan Adams as well) was married to Shania (I've actually never heard him called Robert before, he's always been Mutt to me) before he cheated on her with her best friend, and I think I'm right in saying he a huge part in her success as well. I also think, though correct me if I'm wrong, that after their divorce Shania ended up marrying the ex-husband of her best friend (or should I say ex best friend) who her ex husband had cheated on her with.
I don't think this song was in any movie, it wasn't at the time as far as I know, though I can understand why you might think that, but I've heard it is for many people the perfect wedding song. Shania looks absolutely divine in the video as well. I can't understand how anyone could ever want to cheat on her!!!
Isn't Shania known as "Queen of Country Pop"?
@@xrey83 She might be, but the key word here is pop. All I'm saying is that many people seem to think they have to pigeon hole artists as something other than pop, as though pop isn't a worthy enough genre. I've never heard Shania called this although I know her stuff from this kind of era more than what she might have done later in her career. If she went more country then great, as I think I said she had that kind of voice to be able to do it and if I'm being honest there's a lot of money in that genre in the States, and maybe a bit more longevity in being a Country star than staying relevant in the pop world which at least used to be changing all the time.
@@mattpotter8725 it was easier to be in a specific genre back in the 90s and prior. As people started to experiment with blending different genres and country artists (young ones in particular) starting having pop images and vocal sounds. With the amalgamation of music genres it would be challenging to just sound or look like one genre.
@@xrey83 With respect I disagree. I think the best artists were almost genreless (if that's even a word), still are imo, either they developed over time or could just have a one off song or album that ventured into a different genre, maybe a collaboration with say a country artist or a rock band. Not that many bands or solo artists could do this, but some just had a style of their own, instantly recognisable, but hard to pin down from pop to rock, maybe a bit of folk thrown in for good measure. I think it's fine, in fact I think it's healthy. I don't think it's changed much at all over the years. Humans like to clarify things, put labels on them, put them in a nice little box, but life, especially music doesn't always obey these rules, things are more complicated. Take Ed Sheeran these days, he has some folk type songs, some ballads, he has his guitar, he raps a bit, more recently had gone a bit more electronic. He's hard to label. I bet he could do a bit of country as well if he ever wanted to go that way, Adele as well could.
@@mattpotter8725 that’s the point of my argument. Music borrows from each other. It was easier to label yourself with a particular genre in the past because they followed the rules set up for that genre - whether it be singing style or specific instruments. As people started to depart from these “rules” artists were free to experiment with vocal styles and music.
Listen to the version with Brian White it was better.
I take her over Taylor swift anyday lot better singer in my opinion
This is definitely a wedding song. It's a bit too schmaltzy and saccharin for me, hence, one of my least favourite songs and even though I love Shania's performance I think it lacks her trademark passion and sass, she's just going through the motions. Yes, she divorced her husband. She's been through so much adversity in her life... she deserved better.
I don't like her at all. She didn't pay her dues. Mutt wrote her songs, she did not.
