    I read that he wasn’t buried in Metairie.

      It's a fascinating story. From what I understand, not all of his remains are buried in this grave.

      When you burn a body on a funeral pyre, it doesn’t tend to leave many remains, but they are still some that may be buried. Why Metairie, though? I thought his family was all in Florida

      @@thepostapocalyptictrio4762 His step-father was from New Orleans and moved back there after Gram's mother died. There's some suspicion he was trying to prove Gram was a resident of Louisiana to take advantage of an old Napoleonic law where he might be entitled to Gram's money as his nearest male relative. Didn't happen though. Kind of sad that this "lonely kid" wasn't buried back in Florida with his mom and dad.

      @@margaretross9150 interesting. Kind of a shame his remains ended up in a town most known for the KKK

    Why is there a grave if there is not a body there? He was freed by fire in joshua tree...

    • @laureanne3409
      @laureanne3409 Před rokem

      Yes, it is a very interesting story. What I understand is that his friends took his remains to Joshua Tree and then somehow the family retrieved some of the remains and buried them in this grave in Louisiana.

  • @conditionallyunconditional5691

    His remains arent there..if you didnt know this.

    • @diannebenefield691
      @diannebenefield691 Před rokem +3

      Yes they are. Read about the Napoleonic Law that Grams step father used to get all of his money. Grams friends stole a hearse and his body and brought him Joshua Tree. His friends had his back.

  • @redtobertshateshandles

    Lawn cemeteries. You may as well not bother. Who came up with this idea?? Stones are supposed to be upright. They still have to weedkill around the stones anyway.

    • @wolo2591
      @wolo2591 Před rokem

      The workers digging graves and landscape maintenance perfer it so they dont have to remove upright headstones to move in trucks and other large equipment. They cover everything with plywood and drive right over the flat headstones.

      Like a friend told me recently while I was looking for a grave, Why worry about stepping over or walking on a grave, the caretakers of all cemeteries run over every single grave with a riding lawnmower
