I don’t have a video of the wiring install. I used the fuse adapter that was included in the package. I ran the hot wire to the fuse panel in the passenger side kick panel. I used a multimeter to find an accessory connection that turns on and off with the key. I grounded the compressor to the frame.
How much king pin weight are you carrying? It looks like your measurements were first with the trailer weight on the truck then again after airing up the bags. Was the second measurement what the unloaded ride height should be?
My pin weight is 2940 pounds. The first measurement was with the trailer weight on the truck with 5 psi in the bags (40" to the fender) and the second was with the trailer weight and 50 psi in the bags (41 1/4"). With no weight on the truck, it sits just over 43 inches to the fender. After towing with these for over a year, I normally start out with 60 psi in the bags and then adjust based on how the ride feels.
When I test fit my compressor behind the transfer case like yours it wouldn't sit flush, did you use spacers to get it to screw down evenly? or do you just have riding over the top of that riveted piece?
From what I remember it sat flush with the plate I mounted it to. I’ll have to go back and look because I don’t remember having any issues mounting it.
I have a new 2022 f350 seems like it sags with my lawn care trailer backend of truck sags the weight of my trailer full is about 7000 pounds my 2018 f350 never sagged this new truck is not as good as my 2018 the for dealer said tomorrow they will put a set of airbags on the 2022 f350 will this change the ride of truck?
These newer trucks have a softer suspension until you hit the overload springs. The airbags won’t change the ride of the truck much but it will keep it from sagging. I really like the airbags and the fact that you can adjust them to ride the way you want them to.
The Timbrens shouldn’t make a difference in your ride without a trailer attached because the bump stop rarely ever connects unless you’re going over some very rough terrain. How do the airbags compare to the Timbrens once your trailer is connected? With my F-350, I honestly couldn’t tell a big difference. The ride was still pretty rough. Wishing I just stuck with the Timbrens. I don’t like the extra gadget in the cab and having to fiddle with the airbag settings.
The Timbrens would hurt the ride only when I hit pot holes or abrupt changes in the roadway when unloaded. I was using a spacer with them to lessen the sag when loaded. That could have been the difference. For us it was a big difference between the two. The air bags are really smooth and aren’t harsh at all. I had air bags on my last truck and thought they rode rough. I really don’t understand why these ride better, but I’m very happy with them.
It’s probably my favorite upgrade to the truck. Having the onboard compressor is great for fine tuning the ride once we’re on the road. I highly recommend them.
That’s awesome, great to hear. I’ll be putting them on my 17 250. We just bought a Solitude. I’ll be a little overweight but I have F350 springs off of a 2019. I’m hoping the air springs help out a good bit. The truck is pretty much sitting level. So just need a bump up. Thank you sir
This was mostly focused on the install, but I’ll be glad to show the air bags in action. I’ve been towing with them for about a year and a half now so I can share what they do well and where they fall short.
Unloaded, it registers over 850 miles. I’ve yet to run a full tank down past a quarter tank without filling it up but I feel sure it would reach that range. Just driving to work and around town, it gets around 18 mpg. Towing our trailer, we can get over 500 miles. We average around 11 and 12 mpg towing.
A man with his tools are really just a little boy all grown up!!! We loved the video!
Love it! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for this video I did my F-350 the same. Works amazing.
Awesome! Thanks for watching! This has been the best upgrade we've made to our truck.
Great video, the underside of your truck looks like it just came off the showroom floor. 👍
Thanks for watching! I like to rinse it down every now and then to keep it clean. But it also stays on the pavement for the most part.
nice i plan on doing that with my Titan ,
We installed air bags on our Titan as well. We didn’t have the load controller though. I think it will be a game changer! Thanks for watching!
Do you have a video on how you wired the compressor in? Putting the same one on my 250.

@@BuildYourOwnAdventure That'd be great, let me know what you see!! Tnx!
Where did you run your air line to the gauge? I'm doing my 250 and my compressor will be behind the rear seat
I used a rubber grommet on the drivers side. I poked a hole through. Pulled the line and sealed around it with sealant.
Good information. I’m a no on the controller and I want separate air lines. I can tell which one is leaking.
I understand that. I had mine that way on my last truck. It worked well, just needed to have an air compressor near by to pump them up.
Hello I just seen your vehicle pass by
Hi! Safe travels!!
What kit did you use? wondering if it's the same kit for the f250s?
Check the description of the video for the link to the kit I used. It should work for 250 also. Thanks for watching!

They will work great for your fifth wheel. Thanks for watching!
Wait, we only caught a 1 second glimpse of the actual bags loaded. All that video...

@@BuildYourOwnAdventure how big was the tank again and is it standard or a option?
@@bryonsusedautos the long bed comes standard with a 48 gallon tank.
@@BuildYourOwnAdventure Nice i wonder what the stortbed is. Guess i will look it up!
@@bryonsusedautos I believe it’s 34 gallons. There are a few companies that make replacement tanks. They’re a bit pricey but probably worth it.
