He learned this song by listening to a recording by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. His performance, considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it, is gorgeous. His native language is Philipino Tagalog, and he has no formal training. The recording engineer was teasing him about his female voice. That's why he spit her out at the end. Notice his big grin after doing that. He is singing now in English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese but he does not speak those languages. Possibility even more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7. On September 21, 2014, Pomoy married Joan Paraiso of Calauag, Quezon, and they have one daughter, Marcella Janiah. It has been said that he "coughs up" the woman out of him after a performance where he uses his female voice. You can hear his beautiful natural singing voice in other renditions, some of which are in Tagalog. I may be his biggest fan in Canada.
It is unbelievable to hear his horrible childhood story of being abandoned by his mother at age 6, and his father was in jail, so he lived on the streets, surviving with other abandoned kids, until he found his voice by practicing at karaoke spots. God gave him that beautiful voice as a blessing, no doubt. May he prosper and sing for the rest of his whole life!

Regardless though. Schooled or not Dimash has talent that others don't have. You cannot go to school and be trained to actually reach out to people's hearts and soul. I feel that there age talents out there trying to compete with Dimash. Dimash is totally different and unique.
Every singer and musician has to go to school to learn. It takes training to be a better singer and musician. I'm not saying that Marcelito is bad at all because he is not. It is not easy to sing or play music or do both including dancing. Marcelito is good and he has earned his respect and reputation. But for me I find that Dimash has more talent in singing.
