I am so impressed that you were able to understand the young man's pronunciation so readily. It took me a while. Good for him to have so courageously practicing his English-speaking with foreigners on the street. I learned French for a couple of years, yet still am embarrased to practice with real French speakers.

I visited Wanfujing many years ago. It will nice to visit the place again. China should extend the visa wavers program to include the UK. It will bring better understanding between the British and the Chinese people.

I fairly frequently travel to Shenzhen from Beihai on the high speed trains and I have very rarely seen an empty seat. I always book early. Another great video.
Thanks Ron… yep, I am the same. The trains have always been busy and stations bustling with people - but you know what they say in the west, white elephants and waste of money that is subsidised (as if subsidising a service to support people’s everyday life’s is a bad thing?) thanks as always for watching… this one was RaW but great to talk to the young lad who was full of life. 👍
One of my favourite streets to walk around both during the day and night. There was a good English bookstore along the street there. Not sure if it is still there.
The English bookstore is closed now, it was an excellent store and had a lot of good books 📚 👍

Hi David, I don’t blame you. I think China and other places in the East are rising to be very enjoyable places to live… the West, I feel is getting caught up in a whole lot of crazy stuff and doesn’t look like that much fun to me.

That's a very smart young man, he'll go go quite far in life. Good luck to him... not many people would walk up to a stranger and chat to them even in their native language, to do it in another language like English, good on him.
I've noticed a lot of the people calling CZcamsrs Shills, paid by CCP etc tend to be American. That's something I've always wondered why it's mostly Americans and not other Westerners.
He is a very smart young guy and he has a great future ahead of him. Great to see the younger generation with positivity.
I had noticed the American angle on the accusations of paid - funny how the mind of a hater works, everything comes down to a transaction!

Hi Ian, please remind your viewers to check their subscription every time because CZcams has unsubscribed me from your channel automatically. I’d found this out from Jerry (Jerry’s take on China) as CZcams did the same with his channel automatically unsubscribed me from his channel. It seems CZcams is targeting all of the channels that have positive posts about China.
Yeah, I can see it dropping subscribers and also viewing numbers have dropped. I suspect that I may have upset the CZcams algorithm- possibly got them on a Monday morning 😜

It never dawned on me until this causal encounter with a local lad in China that your channel name can be very complicated for a non native English speaker.
