This is as nostalgic and emotional as it gets for me, a fan of the game, the NBA and Vince ever since 1998. I recall this game, watching it as a kid back in 01. At this time we all knew he was on his own level as far as athleticism and dunking, but this performance with those 8 3's in a row was just as inhuman and incredible as anything I had ever seen - in any sports in my life! To me, Vince was my Michael Jordan and had a God like status like no other idol I've ever had. I know the likelyhood of looking that much up to a role model increases when you grow up without a strong father figure, so now as an adult - many years later, the mad love I had for that man makes more sense. Still today he has a special place in my heart as he single handedly change the tragectory of my life.

Resonates with me also. Followed him from college into NBA and was my hero. Watching him explode the way he did and turn into a star was so good.

Me too lol I was in 5th grade and living in Philly. This series is what got me in basketball. My Dad took me and my friend to the fair that night and I threw up when I got home, the last two minutes of this took my mind off the puke 😂 I remember feeling bad for Iverson seeing hin sitti g on the bench with only like 14 points or something

I can't get tired of watching this game's highlights. I was lucky I witnessed it Live on the TV back then, and I still remember I was jumping out of my shoes. I was already a big fan of Vince Carter even prior to this game, but this performance sealed my heart's door to any other athlete.. This game took place in the period when there was a war in my country and Vince was my only hope, the only thing to cheer me up. Thank you for everything Vince, and Max, for these highlights.

Too bad Vince doesn't get credit being a shooter. Number 7 all time.
