In my opinion mid 80s and 90s sportbikes designs are the peak of sportsbikes design. Aesthetically better than current sportsbike. You can feel The Fun to Ride sensation just by looking at it.

None of these are forgotten apart from maybe the triumph. Nearly all played a pivotal role in superbike development. Most still command good money today .

The best 90’s sport bikes, without listing the YZF-R1? Strange.

RF900? Triumph? Hardly anything thought of from the 90s as great bikes. The ZX7 and GSXR 1100 were better bikes to fill those spots. Even the CBR 600 was a more breakthrough bike then either the RF900 or Triumph.

I bought a 01 ducati 998 when i was 19 in 2002. It was a yellow/white monoposto with d&d exhaust. It sounded wicked and would smoke anything else through the curves.

I had a FZR 1000 Exup of 89. That's by the way the most changes of the bike were made. Changing the model from 2LA to 3LE. Now I drive a ZX9R from 94. I love the supersport bikes of the 90s. The power is more than enough, the handling is still excellent and they're way more comfortable to ride than newer bikes. They were let's say still are perfect for riders who wants comfortable rides over distances and additional have a sportbike which you can use on the racetrack as well. Nowadays you have to buy two bikes for this.

I put 60k on a ZX9R, the 1998 C1 model. It weighed about 50kg less than the 1994 version - same top speed though. It was bought new for weekend fun and then used as my 'commuter' into Central London from outside the M25. Best bike I've ever owned.

The Suzuki and the Triumph were truely ugly beasts. The Ducketii however was a great bike to ride and beautifully made. Just be careful with parts some brake parts can be hard to find. The Fireblade is always worth having and the MV Augusta

My '94 CBR900RR had unpredictable handling, probably inadequate trail with the 16 inch front wheel. The '99 R1 that replaced it was a better bike in almost every way.
