I did modify one of these to flush on a standard tank by plugging the air transfer hole. It requires a lot of water to siphon but works quite well otherwise. flushes like a vintage toilet.
as a do it yourselfer, my knowledge is extremely limited on plumbing. i have this model. it's installed but the washer isn't siphoning, like the one in this video. what do i need to do to correct it?
Thank you for this test. The downside I could see to this toilet is I guess if there is something wrong with the power flush system parts, your toilet won't flush?
Would you recommend this model? We're still rebuilding our house from Hurricane Ida a year ago, we're just about at the point of putting in toilets so I'm looking around at reviews of ones I saw in stock locally and this is one of them. If not this one, is there a model you think is the go to you'd use? Thanks for the reviews!
I just bought this toilet last week and mine doesn't siphon or go blub blub blub like the old toilet does it just spits a huge amount of water in the front and make a mess everywhere too with water flying everywhere . Is this a wash down toilet?
When prepping for a hurricane, we've always filled the bathtub with water so we can flush toilets if the water supply gets interrupted. With traditional style toilets, we can fill the tank and it flushes normally. Seems like this style takes a lot more water to flush, via bucket. Or is it about the same amount of water?
HD markets these as being able to flush a few cue balls 6 or so but somehow a lil 7 yr old kid managed to plug the toilet with poop n paper. So yeah vacuuming assist isn’t all that spectacular
I have 2 of these. Yes, they flush well but I'm not happy with them long term. They are very hard to keep clean. They get lots of mold build up under the bowl ring and you can't put bleach tablets in them. There isn't even any room to put them in the tank. No, I won't buy these ever again.
Thank you for bringing us this very interesting series of tests.

These are neat toilets. I hope to find some one day. Nice video as always!
Very cool vid Brayden 👍
I got to find one of these for the first time today in a public bathroom and it was at the Walden Galleria mall in North Cheektowaga NY .
Very interesting video!
Decent toilet, i used to really hate it but tp test is actually inaccurate to me now.

Amazing toilet
this toilet looks like a premier front flusher toilets
The water leveled would be hard to increase so it's not customizable compared to champion 4 or kohler santa rosa 1.6 gallon...
Are there any vents on the top and is that center tube a bowl primer or what's inside the middle tube? Wonder how high you could set the water level?
There is an overflow tube in the tank that prevents you from over filling it

Pretty much. You need the vacuum piece in the take for the toilet to function properly
I have the exact same toilet and niagra toilet
It flushes but the water never gets to adequate level. It stays low.
In the bowl

I definitely recommend this toilet!

It’s not washdown. It’s Siphonic.
@@BTRPlumbing really? mine is acting like its a washdown

This with a flushometer would be interesting. Can you try it?
I mean I could but it would just flush like normal but not siphon
@@BTRPlumbing okay. Well you should try putting a front flusher on either a PA or flushometer!
It still would be interesting
I wonder how this would flush on flushomter!
Same!
The shape of the trapway is weird... Is it pressure assisted?
No. It’s vacuum assisted
I think it has some similarities to British double trap toilets (they also suck the air from the trapway, but using an aspirator).
Can these be plunged? I mean, you can try but would it work?
You can but I recommend plugging the overflow tube in the tank when you plunge the toilet
Do it on flushometer if you can
It won’t work on flushometer unfortunately
Flushes like a front flusher
it is a front flusher
