Driver previously filmed in different videos that he always takes his hands off steering wheel when driving.
Many students hurt in the accident
since the start of give way to bus program started. it has become a norm that, bus drivers now, no longer bother to turn head check blindspot, also never turn head, check right mirror, also never signal right, and just ba long long filter out of bus bay. dear drivers, please always remember to slow down and stay alert to these bus drivers. once your car is beside the bus, you are in their blindspot. they can see you if and only they turn their head over their shoulders to observed traffic. stay safe and be alert on roads.

Seems like he has some sort of OCD. He kept touching and checking himself. And he kept looking down. That might be why he ran into the other bus when going around the bend.
I concur. It’s not that he did it deliberately. I’ve got a friend who have the exact same OCD kept touching himself then smelling his hands.

SBS is insane for employing someone with severe OCD or some sort of Tourette Syndrome. He kept performing out his ticks, how to concentrate on driving safely? SBS must also answer for this accident

SBS is very strict with conducts. Normally no second chance were given to such drivers. My dad in law is a SBS for 30 years, he shared with us how strict SBS Transit is to their employees. Any minor accident will trigger serious assessment and they do not hesitate to fire the driver. They also do assessments and interviews regularly with elderly drivers to confirm their fitness to drive. But of course there are still fishes escaped the net when the company is big. This driver really needs to get off the road....He definitely needs psychological help too.

If I were one of the victims of this accident I would be filing civil lawsuits against both the bus captain and SBS Transit itself for professional negligence.
Someone like this should never have been employed as a bus driver; the bus captain’s fault is obvious but the company should also have the responsibility to properly train, discipline, and monitor their employees against wilfully negligent behaviour like this.

One of the newly-deployed electric buses for NUS, I believe. The damage doesn’t seem too severe, so hopefully the manufacturer can get the damage repaired.

I got inform one bus 🚐 driver's when he driving very fast tell him to slow down. I said if he driving too fast suddenly got bicycle 🚲 or jaywalking grandma or grandpa because they not strength to go to far far away traffic light maybe you cannot immediately stop and knocked them but you driving at limited speed you still can action to stop your's bus 🚐 before knocked them. Why happen to this bus 🚌 driver's. What his hand ✋✋✋ doing not understand. Not wonder cause the accident. Nus bus driver's and passengers with them was so innocent if Getty injuries
Bus drivers behave like kings and this is too common. It is like guarantee the law behind them. And yes I think traffic police don't look out for their offenses. Other drivers just be careful 😅.

@@3asonchan I understand there might be medical condition. if that's the case the entire passengers are put at risk. There are at least 2 pilots on a plane for a reason. But there are only one bus driver.
Driver lifting his left hand to his nose and smelling something in his glove hand. Then it dropped on his lap and he used both his hands to retrieve whatever..and he looked down several times. So NOT fully looking ahead at times. He dropped again and repeated the same sequence of dangerous lack of concentration ! Play slow motion... can see clearly the problem !
