Hi, I'm 75 years old and I remember hanging clothes on the line and watching them gently move in the breeze, drinking some lemonade or iced tea on the porch listening to the birds. You captured it beautifully! It was a simple and happy life. Modern women have no idea what they are missing. I was very happy and fulfilled (as were most of the women I knew) in that traditional lifestyle. Modern women seem to have traded all that in for chaos and stress. So sad. Thank you for this video!

Everyone is different. And every path and purpose is different. A woman who stays home and takes care of the house and children could have an abusive husband and no way out financially. I am happy that women can have a choice now more than they used to. I can see where your life can be very peaceful and satisfying as well. I can also see where the woman has a choice, she can decide to become anything she wants to be in this world. Having freedom and choices is a beautiful thing. I understand that sometimes you don’t have a choice. Yet I am grateful that my daughters can create a life of their own choosing, using their gifts and talents, whatever they are. Life is beautiful. And precious. Each path can be beautiful.

@@CalmedByNature Yes, a white house for sure (barn might have been red) and the inside front door would have been open, but the screen door locked, to let the breeze in and and to hear the "Hello!" of neighbors that thought they'd stop by on their way in to town. At least that's how it was growing up. Not sure that would be safe in this day amd age.

I keep coming back to this video. I have it play in the background while working. It reminds me of my hometown so much. Now I live in a big noisy city, but it takes me back to my childhood in the country when I still had time to just lay down in the grass and watch the clouds roll by and birds flying around. We didn't have internet or cellphones back then. Nothing to catch upon, nowhere to rush....Sweet old times. And I sound like an old man and I'm only 35.

Saying you’ve done a spectacular job seems trite now. There’s something wonderfully idyllic and Americana about this. I love it. I think for many of us of the generation who had still grandparents living on family farms, we loved that long car ride to the farm, eating all of the dishes grandma would make because she knew you loved them, digging into the box of old toys Grandma and Grandpa kept in the house that were five times older than you but you loved them anyway…

My grandparents were wheat farmers :) By the time I came along they moved to a small nearby town but the drive was still far from the larger cities.

This is just beautiful. I have chimes all around my house too. They just seem to remind me of the beach & nature when you're stuck in the house, you know? Like hearing birds in the morning or evening do, reminds you that no matter what there's still a new day coming. Clean laundry scents, and a tended yard, work well done is it's own reward. Something to be proud of. Everything you've worked for you take care of. It's the way it should be. 🌾🌻🌼🏡

How perfect. I'm sitting at the table pitting a bowl of pie cherries and like magic, my virtual farmhouse appears. Mom always said I should have been a farmers wife. Here's a tip, use a paper clip to get the pits out. Yeah, I know, there's still a few of us left that do this stuff. 🍒

I thought of you the other day when I was in the mountains. Two female elk walked out from the forest line, and stopped within 30 feet of me. Thankfully, they had no little ones, so they were docile. The entire scene reminded me of your nature videos!😊

This reminds me of my childhood when my sister and I would enjoy the cool summer breeze rustled the leaves of our maple tree and my mom's damp laundry hung on the line to dry. It was soothing for us.

This is memories, right here. My grandma's house was situated on 40 acres of a bluegrass field, and surrounding it were tall stalks of corn. Wind always blew on the plains of Glacial Lake Aggasiz, rustling the pine needles and tall birches. The birds were plentiful too, although the most common call to hear up there was the red-winged blackbird. Grandma's house got sold in late 2021 after she ended up in the nursing home after a bout with covid, so this video is bringing me so much nostalgic peace. Thank you so much!

Ah, I remember when we used to wake up early in the morning, listening to the gentle doves cooing whilst enjoying a cool breeze, hearing distant church bells ringing before playing with my brother all day long, then eating dinner whilst watching the sunset and after that we'd go eat a fresh Watermelon and then sleep with the window wide open, listening to owls in the countryside hooing and crickets chanting..

Thank u for this video, i love the calmess and simplicity of watching the hanging towels sway lightly in the breeze, it reminds me of growing up, my mom hung all the clothes on the clothesline, especially the towels and sheets smelled so fresh.

It's January in Ohio after a week of snowstorms and below zero temperatures. Every joint and muscle in my arthritic body is aching and I've had a hard time sleeping the past couple of days. I came home from Mass this morning and wanted to lay down and try to take a nap, and remembered this video. Oh, my goodness. I fell asleep almost immediately and it was the best and most needed 3-1/2 hour nap I've ever had. Thank you so much for keeping this video up year-round! It brings such peace and relaxation.
I've lived by cornfields and country life for many years. I'm now in a much dryer environment and miss the rustling sounds as well as how many songbirds there were. Im so happy I found this. I napped in hammocks and with my windows open to this. One of the most serene feelingsi hold close to my heart

LOVE THIS! 😻😻💝💖Including hanging wash on the line! Just send me there with a glass of ice tea on the porch swing. Fresh corn on the cob. I've eated it just as it is without boiling it and it tastes really good. I'd lay out on the grass under the tree and stare at the sky! Can't do that where I live in dustbowl AZ. Like the hot air balloon. Now to the scavenger hunt! Found them all. Took a bit of time especially the tiny tractor and truck!

for me, this represents what a summer day should be like.. a cool gentle breeze, the singing of different birds, the soft sound of a wind chime, the sweet smell of flowers, the clean air, peace n calmness all around.. the only thing missing is me on that porch swing, relaxed, eyes closed, while the wind gently moves the swing back n forth... a wonderful escape from the endless sounds of traffic, the violence, sweltering heat with a 85% humidity rate, unclean air, the sidewalks n streets always crowded n noisy, everyone constantly rushing .. where it's always loud unless it's 3:00 in the morning...
I much prefer to be in this world so thank you for this wonderful escape! I loop n listen to it every day now.. ❤😊 I always enjoy your videos, there's so many I've saved to my personal playlists n I have to say that this video is one of my absolute favorites ❤😊
