Yes you could buy them it was very effective because you would Always take the red buff as a marskman and for some junglers like helcurt petrify it's good too
You forgot the Crazed Reaper. It's basically like the Genius wand but for physical heroes where it reduces enemy armor whenever they are damaged, the only difference is that crazed reaper passive is triggered by basic atk unlike genius wand which is triggered by skill.

I remember the days where anyone can be jungler, but now, its really nerfed, with all the benefits raptor machete, star shard and beast killer can give, these items where really overpowered conpared to the new jungling boots which in fact only restricted other heroes to do jungler, and i dont really like it, i wish i could ho back to the old days because just to be honest, it was all nerf to roam and jungle than a buff, the little did moonton know, those items are the things that made clashes really nice, instead of just outplaying and waiting for each other to attack, the past clashes are actually straight in killing off each other
