  • Here's how you create this Instagram Product Transition Reel using the "Align" feature
Step 1: pick a trending audio and set the timer to the bear drop.
Step 2: use the 3 second countdown and start clapping right in front of the camera when it hits 1 second. Finish the clapping and pointing movement in line with the music.
Step 3: press the “align” button and place your product in line with what was in the first shot (in this case it was the glass vase, but for example if you were showing a cake then you could begin with an empty plate in shot 1 and then the cake on the plate in shot 2).
Step 4: Align your hand, hit the timer, and record.
Step 5: trim the clips so that it looks like one fluid movement. This is the key to good transitions!
➡️ You want the first clip to end with movement going in, and the second clip to begin with movement coming out.
Save this post so you can come back to it when you’re shooting reels next!

I was gonna make a transition reel but the alignment showing on the screen is starting of the video ... not the end . What to do ?

It should show you a shadow of the end of the first clip so you can perfectly line up yourself or your product. When it actually starts recording it will not show the first clip - once the countdown ends the first clip will disappear. Hope this helps!

I face the same problem.when i click the alignment button, it is aligning me to the start of the first clip, not the end of the clip.Do you have some suggestions?

I know instagram can be glitchy and a lot of the time you need to update the app or even just turn your phone on and off for the updates to register. As an example at one point a lot of people couldn't click on links on instagram stories, but once they updated their app it was fixed. So I would suggest doing this :) If you have any reels drafts make sure you save them to your camera roll first just in case!
