Over 20 Mins of Coverage from the Yellowbullet Nationals, Video includes 8.50 Index, Top Sportsman, Outlaw Big Tire, Outlaw 10.5, X275, and Outlaw Drag Radial.
NICE !!!!!!!! I am sure it's gettin harder to get insurance for some of these races, the cars are just that fast. Wow. Violent right out the gate. 1/4 mi. racing maybe on the skids cause of the H.P. & M.P.H.: Another great effort on your part and thanks for staying so long. Nice cars and the track had some hook. Enjoyed it.
great video , feel bad for the guy in that camaro for crashing , but hey that racing any thing can happen in a flash , thank by way the for sharing this , cheers!
ironically if you know your stuff understand the conversion from 1/8 to quarter most these cars are 7.90 to 8 sec 1/4 mile cars that's pretty fast (I know there are guys running door slammers in the 5 to 6 sec range in the 1/4 but those guys are pretty Crazy)
just to mention the 1/4 mile guys aren't running a 1/4 anymore its 1,000 feet not 1,320. Everybody has their style but 1/8th is pretty damn fun. Especially for the crowd. races go by a lot quick with staging and such...
Someone help me understand this, I never exactly learned all the rules yet of drag racing, haven't been to many races yet, but anyways. How come on some races one of the two cars will launch and sometimes one car just coast down the lane no throttle or nothing. Other than possible problems with the car, do they sometimes do that for specific qualifying times?
excuse me for me thinking like this but if they hit already hit 160+mph in the 1/8 mile....in a 1/4 mile they would surely hit 200 making it kind of not safe?? idk
The best cars don't come out of the South and they are and will always be behind the times. Why do you think records and indexes are kept for 1/4 mile? Make the football field 50 yards instead of 100. Maybe there will be less hamstrings pulled. I can see it for tracks that don't have much shutdown area, but only in that case. Many engines, such as HEMIS, don't start working until top end. The most exciting races are ones where someone runs down the leading car.
yea? after the 1/8th mile is where shit starts blowing up, getting real shitty real quick. with nitrous, after the 1/8th your just waiting for something to explode. 1/8th mile is the best thing thats ever happened to drag racing. the south has been doing it for years on end, now its everywhere. must be appeasing to someone
Stupid ass 1/8th mile, pretty much has killed dragracing for my pops & I plus the crew of 5-7 friends we use to travel with every year to watch dragraces....we just refuse to support 1/8th mile anymore ...15 years ago we would go just to hold us until our next big 1/4mile race but now it's all 660 outside of NHRA national events.
1/4 is were it is at. You don't put 10 20,000 in the motor for stupid half track. NHRA Is also starting to do 1/8 Wally Parks is rolling in his grave right now 1/8 is not "DRAG RACING"
Thanks for the great coverage! That race was a friggin' blast!
May be the best racing video EVER!!!!
my cousin mike ran a 8.49 out the back door in 8.50index with the 67 Camaro. Moving to big tire this weekend. CANT WAIT
Thanks for putting this together. Excellent.
I could watch this all day...
Great Camera work and editing by the way! Not a bunch of extra talking and music and crap just the sound and sights of the cars.

I hear you, man. I've never gotten this 1/8th mile thing. Maybe these are cars that would blow up after the 1/8th mile...
Otay Panky You Da Man !
ok thank you
Agreed but the high horsepower cars being limited to the 8th saves lives
About 7 min. of this 1/8 mi. is all I could take.
Wow...terrifying full-track 170 mph wheelstand at 13:51 or so.
Get any videos of a lime green turbo S10 that went 9's?

99% of the time something broke or went wrong in the launch.
because the tires spin and the thing brakes and the qualifying is because the cars performance
Who drives the corvette on 12:28
660 feet to get up to 180+mph... I call dibs on shotgun!!!
Top fuel and top fuel funny car run 1000 feet. Nothing else.
must have this carrs in dorr slamer 2.0
Most of these cars are built for 1/8th mile - not enough gear for the 1/4.
ATTENTION: The reason you all came here is at 16:25. Let me save you the trouble.
1/4 mile for most stuff.
All your vids are 1/8?
1/4 mile is really hinky on lil tires
16:55 woops
Average hp?
Also saying that it is getting too crazy for 1/4 mile is dumb too. They are on 10.5 inch tire cars there is going to accidents.
oh shit 16:33
At least it was a Camaro. No loss.
It's funny we have a chevy haters but half these fords probably are powered by chevy engines
+ParadoxGaming exactly

Ummm fast door cars get VERY dangerous in the 1/4
US Cars are the best.
Feel bad for the person who wrecked they car.
Michael Martin
Sorry but the 8.50 guys can run 1/4 just not the 1000+hp guys they gotta run 1/8 cause they get swirly quick going that fast.

What's the reason for it? Are they trying to cut the top speeds down?
