- Was very keen to get out and have a crack on opening wknd, managed to get away from the kids for a fish. River was looking great flows had been reduced and fish were fired up, with a few of the cod hitting the lure multiple times. Had to be flexible as I run into a young fella doing the same drift, i let him continue on his way, while I turned back for the ute, which was a forced decision as i couldn't find anyone to move my ute.

What a great session! Certainly blessed to have only minimal company on the water and with some great cod action to boot!
Was a great way to open the season. I try hard to fish unpressured water, it certainly makes the fish a bit easier to tempt. Glad you enjoyed👍

Yeah mate had to change plans as I couldn't find anyone to move my ute so pedalled back to it and fished that first hole. That's some good water keep that location to yourself 🤫
