  • Justin Vaden, Titusville resident and fisherman, collected video of the Banana River Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge on midday on March 18, and added footage on the 21st. “I stopped there at lunch on shore to take more videos.” Vaden said. He’s been fishing the area about 25 years. “I’ve never seen it that bad.”

    I was just up there it was nasty the water is really dark and it it wiping it out. Water management and Fwc need to sort this out now!!!!!

      Every heavy rain event Melbourne has a raw untreated sewage spill event. 6th time in less than 2 years

    This year right before the fish kill i caught a 11.9 pound trout

    This happens between the two inlets. They pump the sewage into the Indian River Lagoon it goes out of the Sebastian Inlet and the Ft. Pierce Inlet. Gets caught between the two. It's polluted. Surf fished there never that easy to catch fish.

    I don't live in Florida so I don't understand this? Did they kill the fish on purpose or is this the cause of a oil/chemical spill?

      +Tim Rooney Algae is killing the fish. I think this one is from brown tide. Normally its red tide causing issues.

      they are having massive freshwater releases into the salt water. look up lake Okeechobee water release into the indian river
