1) What are some examples of God’s righteousness on display in the Bible?
2) In the Greek, righteousness can also mean justice. Give some examples of ways to be hungry and thirsty for God’s justice?
3) According to Jesus’ words in Matt 6:33, what is the one thing we should be seeking first?
Prayer
My sweet Lord, I praise you that I am declared righteous because of your Son, Jesus. I have been justified through the blood of the lamb who has restored my relationship back to you. But I acknowledge that I haven’t always lived out your righteousness. Give me a heart for the things in the life that break yours. Help me to show mercy and compassion to the outcast, the oppressed, the weak, the orphan, and the widow. Make me hungry and thirst for your righteousness and justice. In Jesus name, Amen.
