Raven is pretty cool in the story, I never used his "broken" ability for the one boss, but he must be off the charts for sure. He is definetly the right guy to have around if you want a damage test among other things.
Yeah JRPGs need to let go of the sword protagonist thing already. At least with Tales most of the protagonists have a unique and cool style with the sword that makes them feel unique.

0:20 what is guard break explosion? I never knew about this game mechanic. I know there is a regular guard and a down guard but I thought it was for magic attacks?
A bit of a typo, but when the Rain Arte breaks a targets guard, they will explode, dealing damage. Rainsong works the same way, but the explosion happens once you taunt.
Also if you manage to get multiple shots off during the guard break animation the taunt cause multiple explosions. Monsters seem to only block in the two higher difficulties though, so it's uses were kind of limited.
Am I the only one that thinks he's kinda garbage when u first get him? Like, he's awesome but at first his artes aren't great and all of them, good or bad, are weirdly expensive

Honestly I think he’s the most fun to play as. He has a bit of everything and it’s cool to get to sit back and supports party of melee characters

That's cool to think that. I personally feel that Crisis Rain not only looks cooler, but is also cooler sounding (the incantation).
The new one lacks lore. It is flashier, but it feels way less... Important.

Right, getting Raven's Stop Flow to 9500+ uses is the long part, so using it so much tires him out.
I do wish the tales mc's had more variety in terms of weapons. So far it's only swords and fists. Maybe the next game the mc can be an archer. :3

Yeah, this is why one must acquire risky ring to make each skill cost 1 TP.

As soon as I got Love Shot, I dropped Karol and Estelle. But his Artes are pretty expensive.
