There are several comments about installing the handle so you're not alone. I think everyone just let it dangle loosely until watching this video

I did my acre yard & I really like it a lot. How easily you can turn it off & on. I just used the low speed & it did great. Note: assembling the handle was a tough one for me. Thanks for this video. 👍

Just purchased this trimmer and thr 715cfm blower and I'm very impressed with both pieces of equipment. Just gave my old gas trimmer to my neighbor

Thank You......We are thinking about getting one......Our Yard is about your size.... (2 Lots) ...We have the EGO Blower & the Self-Propelled Mower...If you ever decide to get the Lawn Tractor, please do a Demo on it.... We think want that Mower....We are replacing all our Earthwise Yard Tools!
Very annoyed at Kobalt. I bought the 80 Volt trimmer and have had it about 4 years. The bump head needs replaced, and they no longer make them. The Universal ones don’t work either. First time purchasing EGO. I love the auto feed technology. That is a game changer!

Jus bought one
I used this trimmer for the first time today. I found that the trigger is set too far back, so that I'm reaching behind me to hold the trigger. This caused quite a bit of shoulder pain. I like the trigger to be about at my hip, not behind me. I used a shoulder strap but when the trimmer felt balanced front and rear, that's what caused the trigger to shift too far back. I believe I got the right adjustment for the shaft length. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Don't understand why it has a knuckle in the middle of the shaft and it gets locked in place with a capscrew with Loctite on it. Would have thought they would supply a knob like they do on the handle so you could undo it easily and fold the shaft in half for storage. Good overview of the unit as I am in the market to move to a battery trimmer at the moment.
I think a solution like that would have very negative effects on vibration. You need a very secure lock to reduce that possibility
What’s the difference between this one and the ego ph1400?
The PH is a multitool and accepts different heads like trimming, edging, hedge trimmer, etc.

Can ego's 5mah battery be used in place of the 2.5mah battery?
Yes but it won't improve the performance at all
can you use a thicker string than 095
I’m not sure off hand, but I know they recommend 095 so there’s probably a chance you run into some issues using a thicker size.
That handle is not popping on. Im pretty good at follow directions and not giving up. I just gave up
How long does a full battery last?
30 minutes or so. Maybe a little more if you run it on the slow speed.

I found this ego weed wacker from Mega Market Direct for $87 battery and charger, how can this be everywhere else it’s like $300

Any update on this product? After using it more, does it still work good? We have issues with every string Trimmer, the bumbing part not working anymore. At the $220 price point want to make sure that isn't a issue. Thank you
I ended up returning it. The battery wouldn't charge and it was showing as over heating. I think it's solid for a yard that isn't too huge and doesn't require a ton of weed eating.
Every lithium rechargable battery will do that if it's dead and hot from use. Letting it cool off a few minutes cure that issue .

Just tried a new Ego 15" ST1511T. A new, fully charged 2.5 battery lasted about 10 minutes in high setting doing light duty work. Also the Ego .095 string
seemed far less durable than the .080 string I was using previously. After a bump it would go to 15" and almost immediately drop to 2-3" on each side. Is Ego string known to be pretty poor?
