    • @boyoncrack313
      @boyoncrack313 Před 4 lety +2

      @Laurent Courtois What proof do you have that meat is a healthy food source? If you want to eat a lamb go do it but don’t eat a fox alright. Unlike you I think about animals. You don’t have to agree with me but if you kill an animal then you’re an animal killer and since humans are animals too despite being much worse, anyone who kills an animal is a murdered and that goes for everybody. Now that sounds really weird but it’s true. It may not count as first degree murder but it’s still a violation to animals. That same goes with meat eating. Since everyone is an animal then eating one makes you a cannibal but not towards your own species or kind. That would be stupid. So you are a animal cannibal and I was one. Kinda weird huh? A deer isn’t a threat to anyone but people still hunt them. That goes the same with goats, cows, pigs and chickens. But why is it legal to eat a pig but not a dog? I don’t know. We made friends with them and used them for hunting. Now you are considered a madman for eating one but not for pig. I still eat fish though and I feel guilty for it but I’m more ashamed that many people don’t start eating more various foods such as vegetables, fruits.

    I've grown up in they country side. I've seen how hunters treat ordinary country folk with massive disrespect. I was in a pub some years ago, having a quite drunk with some friends and their fellas. A fix Hunter came in, threw some £20 notes on the table and told the guys they had to be at the hunt next day. Both refused and were beaten up outside the pub. Police did nothing. The hunt are no more than thugs. They don't take an injured hound to the vet, they usually shoot it and feed it to the other hounds. And they have their fingers in other wildlife crime: badger baiting, dog fighting, the works. It's time these psychos went to prison. Fred West was a mucker for the local hunt,and Claudia Lawrence was chummy with members of her local hunt too.

Another horrible part of it is that they let the fox suffer to its death, not a fast death. frxmsy have you seen a real fox hunt? The dogs shred the foxes into bloody slivers while the hunters laugh and toss it around in the mud. • @thebigmanhimself8521
      @thebigmanhimself8521 Před 4 lety +45

      frxmsy But that isn’t what most fox hunting is and these dogs aren’t trained to do that. If you watched the video you can clearly see the dogs ripping the fox to shreds, prolonging it’s death and potentially ruining its pelt. And I haven’t seen any fox hunters actually use the fox corpse in such a way. I’m not opposed to hunting, but there is no excuse for someone to allow any animal a slow, excruciating death. Also even if someone was gay or a vegan, that literally won’t change the fact or point that this type of hunting isn’t good and causes prolonged pain and suffering to an animal.

    • @hanzodefender
      @hanzodefender Před 4 lety +25

      frxmsy Im not a vegan? That has nothing to do with this. Vegans are against HUMANE killings in MEAT FARMS. I am not against humane and necessary killing in farms. Eg killing cows. The cows are killed quickly and don’t suffer as much, and they give a LOT of meat and product. You must be very young or naive to think the dogs hold the fox by the ears, because those dogs are TRAINED to attack the fox any way they can, and all the dogs tear it into pieces. That’s part of the “fun”. I do taxidermy as a hobby and there is NO WAY any part of the fox is salvageable, the pelt or meat. It gets shredded and thrown around by the dogs, and then the hunters kick it into the mud. No part of the fox, fur or meat, can be used, and the fox suffered, so it is INHUMANE.
      TLDR: Vegans are against humane killings eg cows, this is inhumane so not liking it doesn’t make you a vegan.

The phones we carry today have a connection to our generation because all we wanted to do is make our new technology/friend portable and available 24/7. The old generation is stuck in this " can't dog new tricks" mentality because the world they knew up until 1960 was immensely different, they didn't have the power to see a president tweet out his stupidity to the world, imagen, you used to have to write letters and wait weeks to hear back but now you get an instant reply. What I'm getting at is we're used to all this speed and progression at alarming rates, it's maddening to that age group.

      Some traditions are just not worth keeping.
      In the Middle Ages there was a tradition in the Netherlands and Belgium called Goose Pulling (Ganstrekken) or Goose Riding. They would tie a live goose by its legs and suspend it on a rope hanging over a road. People would ride horses or carts over the road, and while passing underneath the bird they would try to grab it by the neck and pull its head off. There was also a variation of it which involved eels, canals and row boats.
      Both were outlawed in the 19th century, at least for live animals. At the time this caused an outrage, but nowadays I'm sure most people would agree it's good that these things are no longer done. And guess what, the surrounding traditions of festivities and award ceremonies were not lost. The difference now is that they use pre-killed animals or props instead.
      Incidentally, what does it say about our traditions anyway, that we have so many types of historical games involving animal abuse, that they gave it its own genre name ("Kwelspel" = Torture game)?

They attack the actual trailing. If you were serious about it but didn't have the capacity to help proper foundations, you'd intervene in the actual hunt before everything so no fox would have to die, or the trail setting so you could at least verify whether or not the carcass was hunted with dogs (the latter being the more legal thing to do)

He was shooting wood pigeon, to eat. He explained the purpose of the bells that, when they stopped ringing the dog was motionless, pointing and you raised your gun. He, like me, hated the large groups of discivilised hunters who shot anything that moved, The subject was macabre but the conversation civilised and agreeable on both sides. Yes they should stop them if they see a fox. But it shouldn't even get that far. If they laid a trail then they know the route the hounds are supposed to take, if they go a different way the hunt would know the dogs are following the wrong scent and they should be stopped right then and there. So they have plenty of time to call the dogs back before a fox is ever sighted. Blows their whole "it was an accident" bs straight out of the water.

If they aren't able to control them in any situation then they shouldn't be letting them loose in the countryside. How can they call it an accident when they know full well what will happen if they get on a fox? If they know full well that they can't control them?
      If I trained my dog to rip up small animals and then let him run loose to cause havoc, how often would I get away with calling it an accident? Maybe the first time, after that I would be expected to keep him under control, or suffer the consequences.
