SACRAMENTO, CA - Zábava
How did Ryan Scott Oliver look at this photo and go from someone wearing a deer mask to a ghost seeking vengeance on her abusive partner?
Maybe they just wanted to write the song and had a picture they didn't know what to do with
I got the answer: czcams.com/video/Y5LWU8FgTws/video.html
1st Theory:
The deer mask belonged to *him.*
2nd Theory:
Luanne's spirit animal is a deer.
So he saw it was like “who would want to come to that everyday? It’s scary”
And then he thought “You know what is also scary and people want to avoid? Horribly abusive husbands.”
@@allycat0136 Mine is better!
Have i been watching different versions of this song for the past hour? Yes, i have, theyre all splendid
Ohh, good to know that i'm not the only one
Lol omg same!
Same
Ditto
The ballad of Sara Berry too
god i love the way she sings "i've come to settle a score."
SAME I ACCIDENTALLY MOANED
@@pearcetaylor7019 WHAT-
@@pearcetaylor7019 HELP?!
@@pearcetaylor7019 erm
Sara Berry is an up beat bop but this is like the inverse and it is so cool
They’re also pretty similar in terms of their stories too, given where in both the trauma of the two women force them to become much more imposing darker entities then when they started out
John Martin well... Sara was just a girl who got shunned in high school and obviously felt no empathy for those less fortunate then her. Luanne was a woman taken in by a man who turned out to be an abuser but eventually got given her revenge after death.
@@alaska4939 both the women were out for vengance after they'd been done wrong too, however being that Sara Berry was still in High School in modern time. The only difference is Sara's reasoning was more childish and under pressure/peer pressure compared to Luanne being more mature and having more of a serious reasoning. Both of them faced traumatic mentally unhealthy experiences and retaliated in revenge.
she is so talented, holy shit, her vocal control is comparable with jay armstrong johnson
i personally enjoy loose voices. but i could understand how someone would prefer a clearer voice. but i definitly agree with you, her voice is really good :D
Hannah Jane Kile - listen to her album Broken Girl's Anthem... one of the most beautiful albums you'll ever hear.
So underrated honestly. The amount of power in this version is ASTOUNDING! I love how the song is quieter in this version, it makes it even more intense. You can hear the harmonies very softly and that just gives it this unexplainable intensity. FANTASTIC work!
this version gives me goosebumps, I really prefer when women perform this song
I already watched this. Why is it still being recommended. Why am I still clicking on it anyways???
Give in to the beauty
The main singers voice fits the song so well. The first few lines came out and I got shivers. Kudos to her!
That one dislike is from the husband
Correction The Bastard.
CHILLS. What a hauntingly beautiful performance!
DAMNNNN THIS IS THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF LEAVE LUANNE I'VE HEARD DAMMMNNNNNNNNNN I love it so much omgggg
I have watched over fourteen versions of the same song and they are all lovely
This is so well done! I've got chills all over with all this wonderful creepy harmonizing. Also the energy and pure joy in the lake-scene felt so liberating even though I already hknew the song. This is definetely my favourite version of the song so far!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE PERFORMANCE OF THIS BY FAR
How old is the singer there?
She's got the voice of a young angel.
I believe she’s 26!
@@rilljillful Awesome!
I got chills like crazy! I didn't think anyone could do this song so well!!
GOOSEBUMPS!! such a powerful voice in the ending where Luanne got revenge! i could imagine a great movie about this song. beautiful!
This is in incredible!! Both the singers and musicians were absolutely amazing!
This is definitely the best performance ever😱
This was so beautiful, I couldn't help the chills I had throughout the entire performance!
Waay underrated, this musical, and it's varieties. I'd love for this video to be trending as much as something like 'Satisfied'' from Hamilton. It deserves it honestly.
i got SHIVERSSSS
can’t believe i just found this!! this is beautiful !!!
I almost forgot to watch this today
she is insanely talented
Yas QUEEN!!! Amazing job!!
Singer: Southern woman he ain’t no good to you
Captions: *southern ain’t no good teeth* 😅
This is AMAZING
Absolutely chilling!
Luanne’s fat lip is drying
The bastard’s bacon frying
The shiner on her eye gone bust and bleeding
He shouts, “Girl, set the table”
But he know she ain’t able
Her arms done broke
Hung limp like yolk
And softly she’s repeating
Leave Luanne
Why don’t you march out that door
Southern woman he ain’t no good to you
Leave Luanne
Louisiana wants war
But it’s you who’s dying on her ruby plains
And yet, Loyal Luanne remains
Ever since he got him laid off
His sanity’s just made off
No he was never nice but now he’s cruel
He rapes her and he beats her
Yet she don’t fess how he treats her
Cause a Bible verse says it won’t get worse
And she won’t be a fool
You won’t ever
Leave Luanne
Cause if you march out that door
His truck will be gunning for you
No you won’t, leave Luanne
Or he’ll give you “What for?
You got hearts where you should have had brains”
So Loyal Luanne remains
Someone’s howling
Screams like sighing in battered breath
Grating, growling
Never dying
In a fate worse than death
But months of such conditions
Turn laymen to logicians
And tonight the bastards sleeping like a log
So she plucks the kitchen cleaver
Creeps to the roped up lab retriever
And she cuts the rope
And hope on hope
She starts to shout
“Your dogs got out”
She’s got her chance
With no back glance
She runs out to the bog
Screaming, screaming
Leave Luanne
You got a life left to live
On a house hanging off the Golden Coast
Leave Luanne, you won’t forget nor forgive
And you don’t feel the stings, the rips and scrapes
As finally Luanne escapes
Swim, Luanne! Swim, Luanne!
And in the swamp of beeches
Oh, as the preacher preaches
As a light
In the night
Push through the marsh and brushes
As the blood inside you rushes
Left and right
With all your might
Until you reach the bank
And you crawl onto the bank
And you feel a little yank on your hair
And stricken, stare at the bastard
Who beat you there
The bastard lies in bed now
Half sad his wife is dead now
She drowned herself in the swamp in wild despair
He thinks he used to love her
But push it came to shove her
A wife disposed
A life case closed
And no one seems to care to
Grieve Luanne
Now no one’s on his shoulder
Yet his mattress don’t feel colder
In fact it's hellish hot, and the air is dank and steamy
Yet his body starts to shiver
When the window cracks a sliver
And a fiery fog
From the miry bog
Poors in the room
In a sticky gloom
And there the man
See’s dead Luanne
He’s terrified, but he keeps his pride
Cause he knows that he ain’t dreaming
And he starts screaming
“Leave Luanne,
Hell sent you back here for more
Cause ain’t no one ever loved you”
But said Luanne,
“I’ve come to settle a score”
And she shows him her feet are bound in chains
And loyal Luanne
Remains and remains
And remains and remains
Someone's howling
Screams like sighing
Grating, growling
Never dying
In a fate worse than death
Leave Luanne,
She cries her miserable wail
So the bastards will never sleep again
No, no reprieve Luanne
She brings their souls down to hell
A caution to the cruelest of men (a caution to the cruelest)
God loves Luanne
Praise be
Amen
The original is great but I can barely listen anymore. It just sounds so much better from her! 😄

Im watching this at 6 in the morning on Christmas day :D
oop i wanna do t his
Did I expect to listen to one that sounded like it was made in a studio? Studio quality? In a live theatre???? More likely than I think apparently.
Literal CHILLS. Wow.
I've always found the image in this so chilling - Luanna is a deer and come the second verse, the bastard won't rest until she's dead.
Hannah Jane Kile is awesome!
I've listened to this so many times. So good
Oh My God!
