@@JC-ko1bp if Oasis didn't split though, not only would we have not got NGHFB & As You Were, but they would be struggling on the charts and it would be sad to see. Also, they were destined to split at some point, with two characters like Liam & Noel Gallagher in a band you can't expect them to remain in a band forever. Hopefully, they will reunite some day for maybe one last album, tour or even just one last concert.

Noel Gallagher saved my life. I was extremely depressed, bordering on suicidal for many months and one day flicked on MTV and saw Oasis' video for "Don't Look Back in Anger, " and was immediately drawn to the music, the song, and Noel. TBH I don't think I even noticed Liam in the video at all. I just HAD to find more of their music. I got into music big time , and lived and breathed it for countless years in a row. It kept me going mentally. It made me happier than I had been in years. I will always be grateful for finding Noel Gallagher. Thanks for saving my life, man!!!

Noel is the person in a group project at school or work who puts all the time, effort, and work into the presentation, and Liam is the person who can show up late, not work at all, but does a fantastic job presenting and then proceeds to get all the credit. I can't blame Noel for holding a grudge against Liam back then or today. He did everything (writing, producing, interviewing- all while his brother was out drinking all day and night), got no credit (except monetarily), and his brother gets all the attention while being a total psychotic pain in the ass.

Guigsy back? Haha good luck with that. Guigs never wants to see another camera or spotlight again. Period. Bonehead would do it in a heartbeat though. But if Bonehead was in for a reunion tour, they couldn't play anything post 1999. Gem is a superior musician. Who would do all of Gem's bits? Not Bonehead for sure. IMO we never got to see the full potential of Oasis with Gem and Andy because Liam lost his voice halfway through the 2002 tour. IMO the best iteration of Oasis was the 2000 version, and here and there in 2002. Listen to the TOTP performance from 2000, with Gas Panic, Some Might Say, Go Let It Out etc... holy hell that band was good!

I assume the reason that the rest of the band just sat there staring at their feet and not getting involved, was because it wasn’t their band. It was Noel and Liam’s band. Both brothers could fire the others just like that, and the rest of the band knew it. So they kept their heads down and their mouths shut and hoped the row would blow over.
Liam is an intimidating guy at the best of times, never mind when he’s going totally mental. Noel was used to dealing with his brother. So the others kept their heads down and their mouths shut and hoped they didn’t get punched in the face or fired.

It’s fascinating watching them talk in interviews, they are the true, classic Extrovert and Introvert, on completely opposite ends of the spectrum. People who are that different in personality types never really have any chance of getting on very well. Noel is a much slower talker, you can see him thinking through his thoughts and what he wants to say. He’s always been more sensitive, contemplative. He’s the songwriter, and uses that as a means of creative expression and catharsis, whereas Liam was just all about the spotlight, being the star, the center of attention. I think that’s changed over time, singing does mean something to him now, at least more than it did in their hey day. But Noel is older and set in his ways. So even though Liam is very childlike, apologizing for whatever he did and “if he did do it he didn’t mean it”, Noel is just a totally different person and can’t tolerate the animosity and chaos that ensues when they’re together.
Still nothing that a good year or two of therapy couldn’t fix though, as far as their communication issues. Ego is as much a part of their feud as personality differences. You have to be willing to work on a relationship and care about the other persons feelings for it to get better.

  • @comments.are.turned.off...

I know someone who EXACTLY like Liam. He's funny, got charm and charisma but has no idea of when he's being a prick. None at all. When he does, he assumes he'll just get his way, we'll get over it or we just move on. There's a point when enough is enough. It took me two years to even acknowledge this friend again after one of his arrogant "bouts" and it'll never be the same. Watching every interview etc on CZcams Liam is literally word for word like my friend. I understand what Noel most probably feels and felt like. It's weird being the less charming but more reliable one, people look at you as if you're the bad cop.

I once thought it was Liam's fault for Noel leaving, and consequently Noel leaving.
But after seeing Noel in interviews, sometimes shorting his own music (he may be entitled to do so), I can see that it angered Liam. personally, I'd be annoyed if someone in my band would talk shit about it, even if that person did 95% of the songwriting.
Both have egos, maybe one has it more than the other. Not sure really. Also, it does a bit about Gem, Andy and Chris making music with Liam rather than Noel. Maybe they don't want to say it, but however creatively superior Noel is, they might have preferred Liam's approach to songwriting, or his personality over Noel's. I mean, all 3 of them went with Liam. And it does say something, right?
I like Noel's music. And his humor. But just because he wrote everything doesn't mean his reasoning is more justified than Liams.
Both were probably twats to each other. And Noel is making good music on his own. And I hope Liam can make a comeback, especially after his messy personal life has gotten out to the public. Hope he learns form any mistakes he's made and makes the rest of his career good.

Being old enough to remember oasis from the early 90's as they emerged the Gallagher's were always the main focus and of course the only original members when the band split. So the focus was very much on them. Liam was a fonumanal front man and had a stage presence that set him aside. He just stood and belted out the songs with real presence. How many fans at the time adopted "mad for it" personalitys, dressed like him, etc. He was the fan e of Oasis. But without Noel it would never have happened. He wrote some of the best music of my 48 years on the planet and without his songs and drive would we have ever of heard of Oasis? He was the most important band member IMO and yes whilst crazy in the early days. You can see in interviews like this he has matured. Liam however still hangs on to his mad for it attitude, comes across as both aggressive and ill educated which gets a bit boring after 25 years.

***** i don't, despite noel stealing songs he made great songs out of that he stole, basically adding value to stolen property, like stealing and old banger, doing it up and selling it on at a profit.

***** Unfortunately you are wrongs, 70% of judges come form the 7% who went to public school, there are similar statistic for other profession, there facts are the the most accurate indicator of what class you end up in life to be is the class you were born into.
There are a few exceptions but most of them are in fact criminals.

He sung Wonderwall plenty of times. Champagne Supernova too I believe. Imagine Liam playing any song with more than 3 different chords on guitar.

I was at that first night at V festival, they never played the second night.
I'm probably one of the few people in the world who NEVER wants them to reform 😅

Not allowing Liam to put an advertisement of his clothing line in an Oasis tour guide shows such ego and abrasivenesses. Liam is the fucking front man. Like Disney charging one of their divisions, like Marvel, to advertise on their dvds.
