Vinyl seams can be a real problem. The solution is heat and super sticky wallpaper paste. Have a look.

At the very top of the wallcovering at the end of the video you will see that it’s lifting but wood trim is going over immediately and so we are not concerned about that.

Could you possibly explain why my seams spread apart the next day after drying? When I apply the paper the joins are fantastic but always seem to spread apart the next day. I’m using paste on the paper wallpaper and apply it on a primed wall. Where am I going wrong? Any help much appreciated thank you

Your wallpaper let the water evaporate and then the engorgement of your product “went back” or “shrunk.” To avoid this, I suggest using a very tacky glue a foot away from, that is 12 inches from each of your seams. You live in you learn… If you use clay-based glue you will prevent this from happening because the Wallpaper will not be able to pull away from the cement-like glue and will keep your seams together. I have a video on it… Let me try to look for it right now and give it to you.

Spencer Colgan Wallpaper & Painting fantastic thank you.. although I’m not sure we have clay based paste here in the uk. Also would a strong glue not also work just as well directly behind the seams? Thanks again

Rick Morty You got the right idea. Just make sure that it doesn’t prevent you from sliding the wallpaper in to position; I have no problem with people using strong glue to accomplish this seems staying together but if you use something that becomes a literally like cement, you will have defeated the purpose; try out your product on a test run

@@rickmorty7170 crossline the wall, it will help and give your paper something to work against and stop any shrinkage or puckering.
