I'm doing a wee resto on my Tomos , great wee bike , loved how you beeped the bad words out that was class, I've just done the tyres on mine , going to book it on for mot next week
Thanks for the vid mate, that brought back happy memories, my very first “bike” was a 1989 F reg Tomos A3MS back in 1995, it was pretty nippy with my (at the time) lightweight frame. I’d love another one just for the nostalgia.
Glad you enjoyed it ! They do pop up fairly regularly for sale on Facebook "Small Bike" groups - and parts are still fairly easy from Moped Specialists in NL.
@@justanothermotorcyclist Finding parts when I had mine was the issue, we had no EBay at the time so I had to do some researching and found at the time Aprilia owned Tomos so they could get hold of the parts. I believe Tomos eventually and recently went out of business.
i had a nvt moped very similar(norton villiers triumph) the exhaust studs were hopeless and it was as lethal back then when traffic was slower. The petrol was in the frame and i had to push a air valve at the back of the frame near the rack when filling up!.
I remember seeing a couple of these when I was a kid but just last year I saw about 20 of them going down the road on a bank holiday weekend and all the riders had camping gear on rucksacks I pissed myself laughing then thought they must be in a club and put a lot of thought into weight carrying capabilities but every one of them was smiling and many looked like your typical hairy arsed bikers in leather it was so funny, hopefully, mine comes next week
That bike can go so much faster , mine gose just shy of 80KMH wich is around 50MPH , I did the cylinder drilled it out to be 39,5 and new piston , also 18mm carb , k & n air filter , sport exhaust , I polished all of the canals on the intake , Im just going to do the sprockets and starter , and then I hope to get 80KMH , Also put the fan on the bottom side of the cylinder .
No problem also nice to see an older A3 model mine is A35 (A5 engine) , The number one thing on these bikes is the exhaust , they are horible standart ones put an laser or biturbo on it and its gona go . Also dont do that where its a full throthle on rev limiter you are going to destroy it I know , when thet happens relase the throtle quickly so engine can slow down and shift gear
I'm trying to figure out which country this is. The accent and the driving on the left hand side of the street might indicate England. But the speed is in terms of MPH and not kilometers.
hilarious, truthful video mate. loved it! and I love my 2006 Tomos ST A35

So you're going to give it a polish? Proof you can polish a turd 😁 . Only joking, that looked like a right giggle 😀

I wanted to avoid opening the engine up for now, just to get it on the road - I might play with porting and kits later on ! thanks for your comment :)

In England the speed is done in MPH.

Don't like the way it changes gear, sounds very clunky
Typical of the Tomos A3 engine. Don't know if the later models improved in that regard.
