    Y’all didn’t see nearly all the options for the gauge cluster. You can completely turn everything off and put only the speedometer on there if you wanted. Or just the speedometer and rpm, the options are unlimited.

    Just saw the Chevy at County fair and it wasn't the Ultimate, but the interior just seems kind of cheap looking to me and I wanted to like it. Compared to the Ram interior and finishes its definitely still behind the curve a bit although its definitely improved. The outside appearance is still killer though.

      AT4 up to Denali Ultimate receive the AC vents that are up top of the 13.4 screen along with the angled climate control and switches.
      All other GMC trims receive the dash configuration very similar to the Chevrolet.

    Toyota, VW, Stellantis, and now GM to name a few.
    Especially since most folks are now used to either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and simply plug in and use that. Really, the added value of onboard navigation should be the ability to use GPS navigation, not tethered to an account, while traveling in a place with limited cell reception.

    My question why do we demand the Silverado to have a world class interior, but the Hummer EV can get away with its interior? Because the Hummer EV’s interior is not worth 100k, and it has plenty of hard touch plastic. Which, for me, is not necessary a drawback, but it seems everyone rags on GM interiors and the Hummer is getting a pass.

    • @ALMX5DP
      @ALMX5DP Před 2 lety

      I never demanded the Silverado change, thought the prior interior was fine for the intended use. I look at the totality of what the vehicle brings, Hummer might now have the best interior for the money, but brings a heck of a lot to the table in other ways. Tesla kinda did the same despite some shortcomings in certain areas.

    • @elliottmanning4116
      @elliottmanning4116 Před 2 lety

      @@ALMX5DP You may not have demanded the interior be different, but lots of people and the automotive media wanted it changed the second it came out. The new Ram didn’t help. But the Hummer EVs interior isn’t as nice as the refreshed Silverado/Sierra and it costs more. Yes, it has lots of cool tech, but I just don’t see that as a justification when normally with GM, nothing is a excuse for the interior.
