i think this guide is what a lot of players are missing - people say kat sucks in this mode but she's sleeper high tier if you play her onhit, only thing i think is missing is kraken slayer as a core item! i consistently get high numbers with that item (even more so than bork some games) and i think its honestly better than nashors in some situations.
also i find it odd that marksmage didn't do much in the game - i normally get really good numbers with it but i could just be placebo-ing myself so idk.

I know there is no more arena, but I enjoyed it so much playing nearly only katarina, my build was nashor for dmg, then hatchet, hatchet was there to give me literally another health bar when I used my ult on one target, and later I went like riftmaker, hex gunblade which gave me so much omni vamp, I could outheal swain, but you just need merc boots for tenacity, I'm sad that this gamemode won't be the same, I just enjoyed it so much

Works pretty well. Mostly get second place though...really hard to actually carry an arena game when your teammate is either handless or brainless.

I always felt that Katarina was great in arena. I often just spam her. I build full damage if I get augments that make me tankier like outlaws grit or shrink ray. and I build tankier like iceborn gauntlet into wits end if I get damage augments like Master of Duality or firebrand. The on-hit augments can easily make it so you can build pretty much full tank and still do enough damage to kill. She is way better at the 2 v 2 than she is in 1 vs 1 or 5 vs 5 due to her being a 3 person aoe damage carry. In 5 vs 5 only hitting 3 of the enemies is not ideal and fighting 1 vs 1 as a champion with good aoe damage and medeocre 1 vs 1 ability is also not ideal. I think she is best at 3 vs 3 but Twisted Treeline isn't a thing anymore. The 2 vs 2 feels good because you know you can always damage the entire enemy team and still have someone to help you get a reset if your damage falls short of killing. I will have to give this build a try. My usual build ends up something like Guardians Hammer as a starter -> Steelcaps/Mercs -> Bork -> Iceborn -> Wits end -> Abyssal mask/randuins -> sell G hammer and buy whatever other damage or tank item seems necessary.I love Iceborn because of the -10% damage when you proc it on the enemy and it helps you land daggers and more of your ult with the slow as well as just a bunch of tank stats. If I get master of duality I would trade bork for either Kraken or Nashors tooth as they have ad/ap scaling on hit and you now stack both infinitely. I Haven't quite hit rank 1 or anything close but as someone who averaged gold elo for years on Katarina I was able to make about 6k gr. I swapped from her to maining Aurelion Sol and made it to diamond 1 on my first season playing him. Never being able to do that on Katarina after playing her for years but being able to do it on a new champ made me feel really bad at Katarina and even I can make her work really well in Arenas. She is especially nice feeling with braum or amumu. Me and my brother really like Katarina Braum. He will get evenshroud and Zekes on braum giving me 20% + 100+ on hit Damage after they get stunned and if he lands a q or aa then they are pretty much guaranteed stunned and dead from my r. Even when I die braum is pretty good at surviving to get the revive with his shield.

I think gladiator is against random other gladiator opponents. The match making isn't balanced.
So there was probably some guy who was 6000+ LP in this game who lost. Or most people were just a bit higher than me (4000)

Kat sucks in this mode. Im a katmain. I got one tapped by a nasus who crit 2,5k with Q. Also a tryn with golden spatula after 2 rounds.
