Preds did what I’ve been saying the Sharks management need to do. If your players aren’t playing like NHL players, they shouldn’t be treated as such. The years they won the Superbowl’s Dallas Cowboy players weren’t allowed to eat on the plane home if they lost a road game. Perks need to start being removed until the team starts playing like a NHL team. The Preds are proof that a little negative pressure can be a great motivator.
Also, how does Greg not know there already is a Lou Lamoriello trophy? It's the Hockey East trophy. That's why Lou is in the Hockey Hall of Fame, not for his NHL skills as a GM.
Interesting that the talk about expansion and possible dilution of talent came right after the coaching carousel topic (are there not enough qualified coaches for 32 teams?) and concluded with a resignation to not having rivalries anymore (doesn’t more opponents mean less room to schedule in-conference rivalry games?).
Love Wysh, but I’d love to hear his response. I’ll hang up and listen, Kaythanksbye.
I don't generally like Four Letter talent, but I have to give Wysh props as one of the good ones. I'm not seeing his "MacBlack" aversion though. His goals allowed aren't great. But having a .900 SVP on a team with the Sharks' record and point diff is nothing short of miraculous. Most goalies getting shelled every night would've checked out midseason, but he hangs in there. Plus, Blackwood has wilder Gumby moves than I've seen in years. But I do agree with Wysh that tanking is overrated. Seriously. You could lose a hundred games and Chicago will still win the lottery, right?... 😏

Coyotes need to relocate before the NHL considers expansion
Nope.
They need to figure out their stadium situation at the very least. The current situation is a bigger embarrassment than business as usual in the Phoenix area ever was
@@eriklakeland3857 They are. When it comes to acquiring land, it is not a simple process. The Coyotes will participate in an auction likely in June (no official date announced yet as of this comment). After winning it and getting the final processes done, shovels in the ground. Then we don't need to hear about this crap anymore. Call it an embarrassment all you want, but they are not looking to build their arena to appease you or anyone else.
At the very least, the Coyotes arena situation will be solved in tandem with expansion a la the Cleveland Browns.
