Just wanna hop in and wanted to say that even though the later movies are considered a mixed bag, they are still solid action entertainer. Especially the CGI and action is top-notch and worth the time.
It doesn't matter how many times I've seen the movie, the scene with Optimus and the other Autobots arriving on Earth will always give me the good kind of chills. Little backstory: Since I was born in 1991, I didn't get to grow up with Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus. In 2001, my first exposure to the Transformers universe was through the series Robots In Disguise, with a voice actor named Neil Kaplan providing the voice of Optimus Prime. Then from there it went to the Unicron trilogy with Gary Chaulk as the voice of Optimus. I didn't get to fully bask in the glory of the Autobot Supreme Commander until this movie came out in 2007. I have a profound appreciation for what Peter Cullen has brought to the table in the world of the Transformers. Between the live action movies (4 and 5 are horrible), and the Transformers Prime series. He is forever my favorite voice actor for Optimus Prime. I just hope I get to meet him one day before he inevitably passes. Side note: The Decepticon Blackout transforms into a Sikorsky MH-53 Pave-Low, but gets misidentified as a Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk, despite the differences in the shape and width of the fuselages and cockpits, as well as onboard weaponry.

Same the 2007 Transformers was one of my earliest memories 5 year old me was in absolute awe seeing his childhood hero Optimus Prime for the first time and that was further solidified when 8 to 11 year old me watched Transformers Prime on TV every morning before school

Guys pay attention to the music. You can clearly tell from the music that the arrival of the transformers scene were Autobots. Villains dont have Hero music playing over them.
autobots arriving to Earth & Optimus first transform is still til this day one of the best scenes every made. The soundtrack alone was worth the ticket price. Hearing Peter Cullen's Optimus voice in live action was perfection. Chills everytime!
Also I know Barricade is still alive and well. Was driving right behind him on the highway a few weeks ago (was an actual mustang made to look like the Barricade police car someone must have been driving to a car show)
The lake scenes in silver lake and the final battle in downtown Los Angeles. Where bumblebee gets his legs destroyed is on S. Broadway st between 7th st & 8th st. (Not Keystone city) Megatron's demise is Wilshire Blvd near Korea town.
You could watch Transformers Prime the first 5 episodes (which sum up to around 90 minutes, like a movie). You'd not regret, everyone wants to see reactions to this. Also very cool, with lovely characters and more action with the robots.

Watch all the movies and there is evidence that points the blame for both the war and destruction of CyberTron on the autobots. There is a video I found here on youtube that puts all the evidence together I believe it's called learning to love the Micheal bay movies.
Something to remember in the final scene, when Sam and Mikaela finally kiss on top the car... that car is sentient. They're making out while laying on top of a mutual friend.
