  • A metatarsal stress fracture, is probably one of the most common running injuries that you could get when you're training for a long distance event like a marathon, or an ultra marathon or if you're relatively new to running.
But the problem, of course, is that not all running injuries that seem like stress fractures are actually stress fractures.
This video by Dr. Christopher Segler talks about the top 3 conditions often misdiagnosed as a stress fracture in a runner

Did you get a rubbing sensation in your foot when you moved it?

Did you treat it like a stress fracture or how did u fix it? I think that happened to me. But a doctor gave me a boot but the boot hurts sometimes. I obviously bought wider and bigger shoes for when I get better

Hi, do you make any videos about shin pain from running ? On all your videos it seems like the topic of discussion is the feet.

Most of the questions I get are about feet. But yes, I have made lots of videos about shin pain. In fact the Shin Splint Masterclass is a deep dive on that topic: www.docontherun.com/shinsplints/

Going to the doctor can certainly help you make sure you are not treating the wrong problem. However lots of runners skip the doctor's office and get all the answers they need and guidance with self-diagnosis help in the Metatarsal Stress Fracture Course for runners. www.docontherun.com/runners-d-i-y/ Heal fast!
