- No. 4 Florida State defeated Pitt 24-7 to become the first team to clinch a spot in the ACC Championship Game. The win improved FSU to 9-0 overall and 7-0 in the ACC. The Seminoles were led by Jordan Travis' season-best 360 passing yards and his 16th consecutive game accounting for multiple touchdowns while directing the offense to 501 total yards. Ja'Khi Douglas stepped up in the absence of two Biletnikoff Award candidate wide receivers with a career-high six catches for a career-best 115 yards. The defense held Pitt to 0-for-11 on 3rd-down conversion attempts, the first time holding a team without a successful 3rd-down conversion since 2016, and grabbed a season-high three takeaways. The defense, highlighted by takeaways from defensive backs Conrad Hussey and Fentrell Cypress II, allowed only a 41.7 completion percentage to hold a fourth consecutive opponent below 50 percent completions.

I’ve been an FSU fan my entire 42 years on this planet. I’ve been through remarkable seasons (freshman year as a Marching Chief got to win a natty in New Orleans in ‘99), but I’ve not had more admiration and love for this program as I have had the last 3 years. These players and this group of coaches are building something special that will stand the test of time.

Not sure when exactly I came to the realization - maybe it was after beating Clemson - but it's clear as day now that this is a special football team and a special year. Regardless of how the rest of the season goes down - I'm going to enjoy the ride, because it has been SWEET.

Damn, do I love this team! It is tough nose football and they just dont give up. I'm not sure I have seen a team play with so much mental fortitude and ability to put the next play behind them in a long time. Go Noles!!!

offense had an unimpressive looking day but still put up 500 yards and the defense is quietly becoming a beast. 1st team d had only given up around 50 second half points and 30 of those were BC and wake forrest. this team's second half adjustments are amazing
