  • I compare the Uriah Alum-Tow 6in drop hitch to my standard ball mount and my big weight distribution hitch setup. I take it on a 600 mile tow and provide feedback on what I found. This is not sponsored, the product is not perfect as there is more slop/play than I would prefer but for the price I paid (on sale $109) I think its a great value and I don't have to use any other hitch now for my towing needs.
    Here's some product links:
    Uriah Aluma-Tow 6in or 8in hitch: amzn.to/37UiOu7
My large weight dist hitch: amzn.to/3y5qiVA
This one appears to be "the best", however its 3x more $: amzn.to/3swzKjI

Why does it dent? Could it give in eventually?

Remember guys, this won’t rust if left in the receiver, cause it’s aluminum

I have this in the 8-inch version. It is the worst hitch I have ever owned. The gaps are so bad in the receiver and bounce up and down. The adjustable slide height gaps are. So bad on the ball mount that after 5 or six tows, I nkw have notches on the top and bottom of the slider. You would think with two pins holding it up, there would not be this uck slop. I tried to get a refund, but the company told me that they only had a 30-day policy. So I am now the proud owner of a BW hitch, and the crap for a hicth went to the scrap yard, and I got $26 dollars back. I, like Nate, was excited at first, but with real-life use, I was let down by this product. I would not recommend this hitch.

In all honesty if it's unloaded it shouldn't be on the Truck.... good review

The trailer? I was going to buy a mower so it has to be empty enroute there.

@@NaterTater ...if the hitch is unloaded it shouldn't be on the the Truck.... then 1... ya not worried about it being noisy.... and 2 ... it won't rust cause it stored away... too many people leave the hitch in the receiver all the time and it rattles... it rusts... the pin seizes... the lock jams... it rattles ... they bust their shins every time they walk past it... then they bitch about the afore mentioned.
Take it apart and store it unless using it...simple

@@steveo4141 ah yes but when i said unloaded i meant with a empty trailer in tow.

I leave a hitch in my receiver just in case someone runs into me.
