Best unboxing in the world, ever. "I've never had a rust free Mini ever". Has anyone? 😊
I have no rust on my year 2000 Mpi.!
If time has a value to this gentleman he’s probably avoided about 500 hours or two years hard work!
The shell looks beautiful as it is, I would never have thought they would look this good with just some primer!
They should have never stopped make them as they where near perfect for todays citys .
I used to work opposite them and di some work for them. Was given a guided tour of the place. Fascinating. Worth a visit if you are in the UK. By appointment only though.
How exciting, want one of those under my tree for Christmas !
Is there any more coming up any time soon? I'd love to see the car being built up! Hope you didn't quit 😀
I'm only half way through and the day dreams are running wild. tHanks for the video!
'Bout time for that next video on shipping details ect eh?
Do all you can to rust-proof your shell before building, it`ll be worth it.
That beautiful wooden crate must be worth $1000 just on it’s own!
Close, 500 pounds
AND A FREE GARAGE WITH EVERY PURCHASE😊
Great video 'wheeler dealers' did an episode where you can watch them building these
Looking good! 1 small step for man !
Thanks!
Following!
Sweet
Thanks!
Thank you!!!!! ive been waiting to buy a shell from them until I saw an actual video of it. I am going to buy one now! Did you order the subframe/glass separate? or did it come with it?
I ordered it separately.
When it comes to a properly deseamed roundnose Mini, how much extra space (in mm / inches) is liberated roughly in the already cramped engine bay in both width and length?
Just like Mr Bean
why didnt you just slide the box out... and there would be no chance of damaging the body shell
What's your plans for it.
Standard mini or something a bit more 🤔
Something a bit more. My idea of the ultimate Fast road and occasional track car.
Looks like you bought it from mini sport in Padiham Lancashire England... am i right?? I just live in the town next to it. Small world 🌎.
Yes, Minisport.
When’s the next video coming?
It will be going to the paint shop soon. once summer slows down I should be posting more often.
Going to go with the same color as the original body?
Side note.... now you need a separate series to show what your wife builds out of the crate. LOL
Yes, that seems to be my color.
What’s the price?
They're made in the uk & retail at around £10,000. Then delivery to the usa I don't know 😕. Clubman models are more expensive.
What's up with the rear seems ? . . . they look horribly welded or something.
The seam cover strips are shipped loose, you can pull them off by hand. I would guess so its the owners option to paint with them off. I think that might be what you are seeing. Also the car isn't yet seam sealed.
I just rewatched to see what you were referring to. Yes, the seam covers weren't all the way pushed down and also I see some snow in seam. Ill show that for you in the next video.
@@Fastmini Ah , it was snow .
Okay thanks , good luck with the project.
Greetz from the Netherlands.
Have you got any further with this project? Maybe tone down the music more, and the chipmunk voices.
Genuine I wouldn't call it! Reproduction at best...
The term "genuine" is used in the Classic Mini community to identify British Motor Heritage panels. They are made on the original Mini factory tooling. As opposed to a non genuine that is manufactured on new reproduction tooling.
Every panel you see is manufactured on the original factory press , and welded together in exactly the same way , I'm not sure if you could call it reproduction in or genuine , personally I would be on the genuine side , but I can see the reproduction argument as well
to bad its not a mk1
The music is complete crap and isn't necessary
Sorry you didn't like the music. It's my first CZcams video I was trying to make it entertaining. It was actually not as loud in the edit. You could hear the voices better. But once uploaded it seems like they raised the volume on the music. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching.
kill the music, ruins whole video. Unwatchable!
