After playing a bit of EXP lane this season thanks to Esme buff, I realise the biggest mistake any exp laner can make against Aldous is to do high cuts. This gives Aldous free farm even if it means he is stuck to the lane in early to mid game.
Don’t cut against Aldous. Freeze the lane and make him come out of the tower safety zone to last hit minions. Send him back to base a few times and win the exp lane completely so that you snowball enough to end the game before 15-min mark.
W advice. Especially if the Aldous is playing passive!
well terizila think he playing mpl...doing high cuts is must do and auto win if team is functional which most of the time is 5 man. But this ranks...not tourney...ppl need to stop applying tourney meta in ranks because mindset is different

I did high cuts playing Esme for the first 8 minutes with a team comprising Hanzo as jungler (he pinged to invade jungle at the start at my lane) and a decent roamer/mid pairing. All solo Q.
We stole that first buff, I survived because I reached level 2 and 4 first against my opposite (Khaleed), and they never really recovered from that. Easy blowout win.
So high cuts work great if you have a hero with decent sustain and lane clearing abilities, and also when you do these cuts when it’s advantageous to your team’s rotation.
This season was fun with Esme. Wonder how long Esme meta will last though.

For those who don’t play the jungle role, please remember these: do NOT overstay to help with the buff if you’re not a roamer, because you will take the exp that is needed for the jungler to level up. The amount may seem insignificant, but any amount of exp in the first few minutes matter very much to the jungler so that his rotation can be much more efficient.
If you are a roamer helping jungler, do not last hit ANYTHING even if the gold and exp still goes to the jungler. This is because junglers need to kill jungle monsters to level up their retri level so they can win retri battles.

To be fair, you had a great team that did not feed. I'm very interested to see the biggest damage dealers in your team, you're probably the 4th ranked. I would not be surprised if Mino did more. Let's be honest, apart from not feeding, you didn't have an impact in this game. 99/100 players would have a horrible time playing with him and even the best of the best would not have a huge impact on the battlefield. So, no. I'd rather play a banned hero than Yi Sun-Shin
I really was play yss but he’s so hard to use and get value from.
I find yss 1-1 combo harder than fanny straight cable freestyle(for me fanny is easier than yss)

You'll see professional yss players dancing on buff, turtle, turrets and lord that's the 1-1 combo

Straight cables are hell especially in tight areas because skill 2 just fails to work half the time or if I use it too fast it goes autocast and you say yss 1-1 combo is harder?
Honestly that season 31 skin looks dope. The 3d model looks good. Skill effect is decent. One thing that is really bad about it is the boat.
In my experience it seems like Yss isn't that deadly enough (for me at least) as a jungler (kill wise) compared to the other junglers like Nolan, Haya, Ling, Roger etc that is just my opinion (Tank main here).
I play with him sometimes and yeah i agree too. In late game you maybe gonna deal huge damage, but in early his damage is too little like throwing needles on enemys

Yss is a high risk low reward hero. Shines well when u have a frontliner but if not he fails in every aspect wheather solo or 1 vs 2 fights till late game.

Yss is borderline bad just a little tweak and he would he balanced i think he needs more movement speed buff maybe using first skill gives 20-30% extra novement speed gor 0.6-1.2 seconds so you cab proc the passive way better
