I hear both Fender sets as slightly brighter than the Creamery. The vintage seems a touch fuller without losing any clarity than the modern - maybe some more girth in the lower mids? I’d vote vintage, modern, Creamery, but no bad pickups here clearly.

They're pretty good, right? Maybe a bit fatter and blooming in the mids, and not quite as sharp and ringing with the upper harmonics.IMO, the main solid quality of any humbucker is when they are percussive in attack; a little too much output, a little too hot, and they lose that quality.
Almost never use humbuckers, but/so I'm excited to see these back a viable option.

Thanks for the great comparison and sorry for the long reply! An FYI for those considering buying vintage PUPs on Reverb: I have an all original 78 deluxe and a 73 Custom that some previous owner had put an old Duncan in the bridge and a super distortion in the neck. Played a bunch of vintage Fender, Nash, and partscaster guitars while deciding which pickup to put in the neck and noticed that the WRHBs varied as much if not more than old PAFs. Decided on a Regal because I figured at least I knew what I was getting. Sounds fine, as does the Creamery version. In 2021 I'd actually go with the Vintera which are half the price of the CuNiFe and boutique, and sound very similar to both (see the many shootouts on CZcams). Lord Fuzzman's originals sound great but your mileage WILL vary.

There has been some recent evidence that while those often come with 250k pots (!), when you match pot values to those common for CuNiFe WRHBs (1meg or 500k), the sonic differences are less than expected.

I bought a new 1976 Tele Deluxe back in the day and think it is great. It was not loved by particularly the "purists" back then. Over time it has become more appreciated. My ear lends to the vintage but like a lot of pups there are even variations between them. The Creamery sounded closer and despite the moderns often getting derided over the years they were not bad sounding in any way, just not quite the same tone as the other 2. Over the years as I came upon info on the originals I read that the CuNiFe needs to be Re-magnetized to bring back to the like new specs. Any info concerning that idea? Lollar makes some sweet ones as well..the regal or some such............... P.S. I like the Vintage Distortion the best here. I have been advised that I am a bit distorted myself. Cheers!

Same amp; same cable run, same board, same everything.
